Danica Patrick recently shared a reaction to Donald Trump's more than three-decade-old interview which the president-elect reiterated in his recent election campaign. The 42-year-old Patrick, an avid supporter of Trump, has been quite vocal about her political stance on social media platforms.
In a recent Instagram story, the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Patrick reposted a 1988 clip of Republican Trump's interview with Oprah Winfrey. The famed talk show host Winfrey asked Trump about his advertisements in major newspapers criticizing US foreign policy. To this, the businessman Trump inquired about the policies for not slapping import tariffs.
Keeping this in mind, Patrick uttered a one-word response to Trump's recent economic policies as he brought the same thought process for the US economy in his 2024 presidential campaign.
"Consistency."
The Wisconsin native Patrick also wrote:
"The most beautiful word - tariffs!"

Patrick had a prolific career in open-wheel racing and became the only female driver to take the checkered flag of an IndyCar Series race. Moreover, the former Stewart-Haas Racing driver was the first woman to take a pole position at the esteemed Daytona 500 race.
"It's the rational, reasonable choice": Danica Patrick on voting first time for Donald Trump
NASCAR trailblazer Danica Patrick revealed that she voted for the first time in any presidential election and eventually did so for the Republican Donald Trump.
In an Instagram post, Patrick wrote:
"I voted today, for the first time. 🗳️ I made a rule for myself that if I didn’t vote I could not have an opinion about the outcome, because I didn’t earn that right. Not this time. I voted for @realdonaldtrump and I can’t wait to have him make America great again!"
In an interview with Jesse Watters of Fox News, Patrick also disclosed why she wanted to cast her vote for Trump. She said:
"I am passionate because it feel like voting for Donald Trump is like the vote of reason, it’s the rational, reasonable choice. I feel like most of all though what this country could be if he gets into office— with all of the amazing, brilliant people that are supporting him— I feel like it could not only make America great again, but make America greater than it’s ever been."
Following her full-time retirement in 2017, Patrick transitioned into broadcasting with the Sky Sports F1 team and hosts her own weekly podcasts.
As an entrepreneur, she owns a vineyard in Napa Valley, California, and a wine label called Somnium. Moreover, she also has a clothing line and a home scent collection.
