Danica Patrick has opined on United States Vice President Kamala Harris' take on "woke" culture. The Indy 300 Japan winner questioned why everything seemed "so funny" to the woman campaigning for the post of the 47th President of the United States of America.
Patrick has devoted a big chunk of her life to being a motorsports driver. She has battled in the karts, the Formula Vauxhall, the IndyCar Series, the NASCAR Cup Series, the Xfinity Series, and many more. After her final stock car race at the 2018 Daytona 500 and the Indy 500 the same year, the Wisconsin native took a step back from on-track action and became an IndyCar studio analyst for NBC. She has also been an F1 presenter for Sky Sports.
Amid NASCAR's mid-season break, courtesy of the Summer Olympics, the focus of the US audience is largely on their nation's medal tally in Paris and the ongoing Presidential campaign. Patrick is known for her takes on political and other topics, such as views on the funding from the US Government to Ukraine amid its war against Russia, and the relief funds to Hawaii.
The former driver recently reacted to a video of Harris from 2017 that has resurfaced ahead of the elections. The then-Senator expressed her views on the subject of "woke" during the Recode's Annual Code Conference, and her comments have regained traction online.
"We have to stay woke. Like everybody needs to be woke. And you can talk about if you're the wokest or woker, but just stay more woke than less woke," Harris said, via upwardnews on Instagram.
Patrick jibed at the VP for laughing while laying out her views at the conference:
"Why is everything so funny to her?! 😂🫠," Patrick wrote.
Danica Patrick sparks intrigue by sharing Joe Biden's then vs now comparison video
Danica Patrick shared her confusion upon seeing a comparison video of the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. An Instagram user posted a comparison video depicting Biden from 2008 and 2024, which Patrick shared along with her reactions.
The video opined that Biden was aging in reverse to what would be considered "natural aging", comparing his portraits from 2008 to the present year's.
The former IndyCar driver shared her confused after witnessing the seeming difference in the 81-year-old's portraits, as shown in the video.
"Wow. Really is a huge difference. Or person. Or lord, what do we really know these days for sure?!" she wrote.
The 41-year old Patrick will be joining Netflix's Drive to Survive as a pundit for the sixth season of the docu-series.
