Danica Patrick, a former NASCAR driver, recently shared an interesting video on her Instagram story about how inflation affects people's money.
Patrick, who is most commonly known for the 2008 Indy Japan 300 win, is the only woman to win in an IndyCar Series race. Since retiring from open-wheel and stock car racing, the 42-year-old has started multiple ventures. She is also active on social media with over 900 thousand followers and hosts a health and fitness podcast, "Pretty Intense."
Patrick reposted a video on October 11 featuring investor Codie Sanchez, who argues that inflation is a hidden method used by governments to extract money from citizens.

Sanchez provides examples to illustrate how money depreciates over time. She pointed out that a $100 bill from 1959 is only worth approximately $9.55 today. She warned that inflation reduces the purchasing power of money, prompting people to invest their funds to maintain their value.
"That is theft through inflation. That's why if you don't invest every year, you hold a dollar, you're losing money and the government doesn't want you to know that," Sanchez said.

Danica Patrick plans to vote for the first time
Danica Patrick moderated a town hall meeting on October 10 with Republican Senator JD Vance running alongside Donald Trump. During the event in Greensboro, North Carolina, she revealed that she had never voted before but plans to vote this time.
"I've never voted before but this time around, I have to vote...If I could vote twice, I would,” Patrick said.
The town hall meeting addressed a variety of pressing issues, including disaster relief, immigration, and Social Security. Vance, the vice presidential candidate, emphasized the importance of enhancing disaster relief procedures. He also outlined the immigration policy, which prioritizes the deportation of undocumented immigrants.
Patrick also recently went to Atlanta with other "Women for Trump" to help a local food donation center. She stressed the importance of community support and said that federal changes and local efforts are needed to make a difference.
"Went to Atlanta with a bunch of badass women on Wednesday to help a local food donation center. We also toured the facility to see that they are also offering school programs to help people get on their feet and on the right path. Really amazing to see how much people care about their community. There is federal level change that takes a while…. And there is local that can be done today. And we need both," she wrote in an Instagram post.
Patrick was also joined by former television anchor Sage Steele, who co-hosted ESPN's SportsCenter, NBA Countdown, and other shows.
