In an Instagram post by a user, spiritual.meme.lord, a meme humorously explains how saying "no" isn't as dramatic for some people. Therefore, some have to say "absolutely not" to get that extra bit of drama. The meme said:

"I love saying 'Absolutely Not!' Because just saying 'No' isn't dramatic enough for me."

Patrick proceeded to share the post to her Instagram story, signifying that she relates to the statement.

In her caption, Patrick also expressed gratitude for many things, including family and friends. She wrote:

"A very Merry Christmas to all! When I pray at night I start off with what I am grateful for and it always starts with family, love, friends, and dogs! Then I ask for things…. And the first thing I ask for is a healthy happy and safe family, loved ones and dogs so that we can live very very long and happy lives together!!! ❤️ So grateful. 🙌🏼"

A few days prior to Christmas, Patrick was active on Instagram again when she posted photos with her sister, Brooke, at a Turning Point USA event, an organization that's affiliated with the Republican Party. An avid supporter of United States President-elect Donald Trump, Patrick expressed in the post what being a conservative means to her. She wrote:

"I think one of the most important values in the conservative movement is family. Life is hard and you need people you can trust but will also hold you accountable. I love my parents and my sister is my best friend. I am so grateful for that. She was also the one that proposed the idea of going to this event last year…. I think we started a tradition. ☺️🇺🇸 Now let’s head to Indianapolis for Christmas with the fam! 🎄🎁"

Danica Patrick competed in the NASCAR Cup Series for five full-time seasons

Danica Patrick burst onto the NASCAR Cup Series scene full-time in 2013 behind the wheel of the #10 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet. She immediately produced results as she qualified on the pole for the 2013 Daytona 500, becoming the first woman to sit on the pole in the Cup Series.

In that same race, Patrick led a green flag lap and became the first woman to do such a thing. However, she struggled to produce results as she scored only one top 10 in 2013. Across the next four seasons, she registered a mere six top 10s and no top fives.

Danica Patrick's best career finish came at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2014 when she finished sixth. She retired from full-time competition after the 2017 season.
