Kevin Harvick's wife DeLana Harvick reacted to the former watching NASCAR from his house. Fox, in partnership with Harvick, aired its final race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season last Sunday afternoon at Sonoma Raceway. This event also marked the end of their current media rights agreement.

Under the terms of the agreement, NBC will take over broadcasting duties for the remainder of the season. That includes the final ten races of the regular season, as well as the complete 4-round, 10-race playoff series.

Owing to this, Harvick was watching NASCAR from his found and his wife DeLana reacted to this by sharing an image on X of her husband watching the proceedings with a glass of wine. She

"This. Is. Weird. 🏎️📺🍷", DeLana Harvick captioned her post.

Kevin Karvick had quite a successful NASCAR career, during which, he won the 2014 Cup Series while representing Stewart-Haas racing, being the team's last champion.

He was the regular Cup Series winner in 2020, with 2410 points to his name. The 2023 season was the final of Harvick's career and he finished in 13th place, attaining a runner-up finish in the Goodyear 400 at the Darlington Raceway. All-in-all, Harvick had four top-5 finishes in his final Cup Series season,

Next year will have even fewer appearances of Kevin Harvick

FOX's reduced broadcasting of NASCAR races from now on would mean there would be fewer appearances of Kevin Harvick in the commentary booth.

After switching from Fox to NBC, the first two races, including the 350-lap Iowa Corn 350 in Newton, Iowa, are scheduled to air on USA Network instead of NBC. The upcoming race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the following race at Nashville Superspeedway will also be broadcast on USA Network and NBC, respectively.

Out of the final 10 regular season races, 4 are scheduled to air live on NBC, with the remaining 6 on USA Network. For the playoffs, the first 4 races will be shown on USA Network, and the last 6 will return to NBC.

USA Network, owned by NBCUniversal, became the alternate channel for NBC’s race broadcasts in 2022, taking over from NBC Sports Network, which ceased operations at the end of 2021.

Also, the 2024 season marks the end of the current media rights deal. Starting in 2025, a new 7-year agreement will see Amazon Prime Video and TNT Sports each broadcasting five races, split between Fox’s and NBC’s portions of the schedule.

Fox will reduce its coverage from sixteen regular-season races to twelve next year, limiting Kevin Harvick's commentary booth appearances even further. Meanwhile, NBC will scale back from ten to four races, while retaining broadcasting rights for the entire four-round, ten-race postseason.
