Denny Hamlin is a leading NASCAR driver with 54 career wins, including victories like three Daytona 500s and Southern 500s, and one Coca-Cola 600. In a recent interview, he expressed his aspiration to reach the level of the top 10 all-time NASCAR race winners.
Conveying his ambitions clearly, he said:
"It's where I've shifted my goals in the final years of my career is to try to get to a big win number, get inside the top 10 of all-time winners."
Hamlin is just one win away from tying the NASCAR Hall of Fame record held by Rusty Wallace, at 55.
Denny has come close to securing a championship title four times in the past, but not since 2021. He had his best season in 2010 with eight wins, and his strong playoffs show how he bounces back from setbacks such as fuel mistakes and mechanical issues.
Despite constant changes in the sport and strong competition, he remains determined to land a top position in NASCAR. When asked if these titles matter to him in a recent interview, Denny Hamlin added:
"Absolutely, these milestones are a big deal to me."

Why does Denny Hamlin care about records?
Clarifying his perspective, Denny Hamlin acknowledges the uncertainty that the future brings and is focused on winning today.
"To me, I think that when this is all said and done, all these different formats have changed, cars have changed over time, but the wins still stand as equal. So, I think that those are why I value them so much," he remarked.
He added:
"If you want to get to those goals and you want to win, you've really got to capitalize on all the moments because you just never know whether your performance will continue to stay at this rate."
This season, he stands fourth in the NASCAR Cup Series with three wins and 629 points. Kyle Larson leads the standings and aims for 15 playoff points to be the regular-season champion. Trailing Larson by 42 points, Hamlin admits closing this gap won't be easy but he remains optimistic.
With six races remaining in the regular season, Hamlin is headed to Pocono Raceway this Sunday.
Hamlin's impact on NASCAR fans is profound and he also co-owns and operates 23XI Racing alongside basketball legend Michael Jordan.
