Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin gave a shoutout to Corey Heim as the Truck Series title race went green in Phoenix. He was one of the Championship 4 drivers but failed to win the title as Ty Majeski emerged victorious.

Meanwhile, Corey Heim finished the race in second place. Regardless, he had support from his fellow Toyota driver Denny Hamlin.

"Lets go @CoreyHeim_"

Heim remained extremely competitive throughout the season with six victories, surpassing his earlier statistic by three more wins than his previous season with Tricon Garage. He has been running full-time with the team since the 2023 season and was recently signed again for a third consecutive year.

"We’re extremely fortunate to get another year with Corey," Tricon Garage GM Kevin Ray said. "His dedication to not only the No. 11 team but the entire organization has elevated Tricon beyond measure in our team’s short history. While we’re looking forward to 2025, our priority remains on closing out this season with a victory and our program’s first championship."

Heim had remained a contender for the championship since the start of the season. His extremely consistent performances helped him lock up in Championship 4, however, finished the Championship race at Phoenix in second place.

Denny Hamlin optimistic of winning the championship in the future

Denny Hamlin is one of the most experienced drivers on the current Cup Series field. He marked his debut in the 2005 season and full-time the following year. Since then, he has come close to winning the championship multiple times but failed to do so.

He looked strong once again this season, heading into the second-last race at Martinsville with three race wins in the season. However, he finished in fifth place and could not qualify for the Championship 4 as Tyler Reddick and William Byron took the final two places.

Despite his age, however, Hamlin feels he can compete with the young talent on the grid and win the championship in the future.

"That is a million-dollar question and I believe that there is a day where the light switch turns off, but I still feel as though I'm just way too competitive to ever race when I don't think I can win. I will not go out of this sport on a downhill fall. I have too much pride for that. I'm way too competitive for that. I want to know that I have the ability to win my final race whenever that might be, and I still feel as though I can go to the racetrack and dominate any given week. So until that changes, no I still feel like I can win." [56:30]

Denny Hamlin has raced with Joe Gibbs Racing for the entirety of his Cup Series career and will continue to do so in the 2025 season as well.
