NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski found himself in a comical spotlight after a gold medal-winning Norwegian athlete caught everyone’s attention at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Social media users on X couldn't resist pointing out the striking resemblance between the two, sparking a wave of amusing comments and jokes.
Keselowski races full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 6 Ford Mustang for his co-owned team, Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing. He is also a former Cup Series champion.
NASCAR is currently on a two-week break due to the Olympics and fans are using the downtime to joke with Keselowski. It all started when a Norwegian track and field athlete won the medal in the men's 1500m decathlon race.
Keselowski retweeted a post of a fan and joked,
"What’d you do on your off week? 😂😁"
Brad Keselowski's doppelganger is a 22-year-old athlete named Markus Rooth, who clinched the first gold medal for Norway at the Olympics in over a century.
Fans were amazed by how similar the two looked and quickly joined in on the fun with hilarious comments.
"Did you get bored and dye your hair?? 😂😂" asked one fan.

Brad Keselowski and RFK Racing's 2024 NASCAR season
The 40-year-old Brad Keselowski has had a strong season so far in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series. He won a race at Darlington and entered the playoffs as the 8-seed.
Last year, the American qualified for the postseason based on points but had an underwhelming performance. He currently sits in 9th place with 615 playoff points this season, giving him a solid foundation to advance beyond the Round of 12 and potentially make a deeper run.
Keselowski's team, RFK Racing, currently has two cars in the Cup Series: the No. 17 Mustang driven by Chris Buescher and the No. 6 Ford Mustang driven by Keselowski himself. He explained in an interview why it is crucial for both of his cars to be in the playoffs.
"Well, it certainly helps. You know, having both cars in the playoffs is a really big deal for us on a number of levels. Whether it's the partnership side and being able to keep that going, which is obviously really important for us to pay the bills, or the recruiting side, where there is always turnover in our sport. We don’t like it, but it’s a reality...When you have a car with a pedigree of playoff success, whether it's consecutive playoff runs or just success in the playoffs, that’s huge for us with recruiting," he said.
