"Barry Manilow would be one that I would probably say. You know, you're not going to walk around bragging to your buddies saying 'Man I've been rocking Barry Manilow here lately, you ought to check it out' um that kind of stuff. I'm into Barry Manilow because it's very nostalgic. I remember seeing him on TV when I was a little kid," Earnhardt Jr. added.
In 2023, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and two-time Xfinity Series champion Kevin Harvick took ownership of the zMAX CARS Tour regional series. Moreover, both Dale Jr. and Harvick have competed in the grassroots series and continue to use their experience towards its betterment.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. expresses his doubt over Connor Zilisch's move to JR Motorsports in 2025
As NASCAR goes deeper into the silly season, new developments continue to emerge every day. Recently, JR Motorsports, co-owned by Dale Jr., announced the signing of Connor Zilisch.
In a recent episode of the Dirty mo Media podcast, Dale Jr. and Zilisch discussed the challenges faced by a full-time competitor in NASCAR, and the expectations that build up around them. Dale Jr. asked Zilisch:
"You're 18 years old. I don't see how in the hell you could be able or expected to handle this perfectly, but I know you'll try. So what's, what's your thoughts?"[00:11]"
Zilisch answered calmly and composedly to Eanhardt Jr.'s question
"I'm racing for myself. I try to not listen to outside noise, whether it's good or bad. You know, at the end of the day, I still have to go out and perform and continue to perform because I'm not at the highest level yet," he stated. [00:33]
The 18-year-old will pilot the #88 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in 2025, competing full-time in the Xfinity Series.
