Jeff Burton’s son Harrison Burton’s future in the NASCAR Cup Series has been a hot topic, as he doesn’t have a ride for next season despite claiming a Cup win at Daytona. Several NASCAR drivers have shared their valuable advice to Burton as he's looking for a ride for the 2025 season.

Burton drives the #21 Ford car for Wood Brothers Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has been associated with the WBR since 2022. Before Burton’s win, his team confirmed that they would not retain Burton for the 2025 season.

NASCAR veteran Denny Hamlin and 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney, who have gone through the ups and- downs in their careers, have offered 23-year-old Burton some words of advice for his first playoff appearance amid his 2025 ride search.

Speaking to FOX Sports’s Bob Pockrass during the NASCAR Cup Series playoff media day last week, Hamlin suggested Burton embrace the moment without overthinking it, stick to their usual routine and enjoy the experience rather than succumbing to pressure.

“Just have fun. Ultimately, probably a few weeks ago, he didn't think he'd be in this position, so you really have nothing to lose. Go out there and have fun. Don't take it all too seriously. Just keep your normal routine and enjoy the moment,” Hamlin said.

Giving his advice to Burton, Team Penske driver Blaney said:

“My biggest piece of advice to him is enjoy it, enjoy your first playoffs, really dedicate yourself because it's a unique opportunity you get to be in. You have a chance to do something great. Enjoy every minute of it. Don't let it overwhelm you.”

Christopher Bell has different advice for Harrison Burton

The #21 Wood Brothers Racing driver had secured the biggest win of his career last month at the Daytona International Speedway. The victory locked him to the NASCAR playoff for the first time.

Chrsitopher Bell, the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driver, advised Harrison Burton to emphasize the importance of performance, as strong results will speak for themselves, making a stronger case to secure potential teams and sponsors.

“Let your results do the talking,” Bell said.

Harrison Burton is 14th in the Cup Series playoff standings, 60 points behind to qualify for the Round of 12.

Catch Burton in action at the Watkin Glen International on Sunday, September 15.
