Dale Earnhardt Jr. celebrated running his recent race at Bristol Motor Speedway by drinking beer till four in the morning. Dale Jr. fought several adversities and yet delivered a solid P7 finish. It was his 96th top-10 performance in 147 Xfinity starts.
In a recent episode of the Dale Jr Download, the veteran racer recalled the post-race celebration and said,
"When the race was over, as we like to do, we go crush a couple beers. All you guys were down there. Amy and some of the High Rock Vodka folks come down there from the suite. We had a cooler of beer ready to go. We drank that in 15-20 minutes. We signed autographs for fans that were sitting there. Tim Dugger came with a case of natural light. Then Marcus came with a big giant barrel of Busch light. We drank all this beer."
Junior then took Amy right between turn 1 and turn 2 of the racetrack and made her walk up the slope just so she could appreciate how steep it was. They sat with their backs against the outside wall and soon the crew joined them for a group picture.
"Then everybody come up there, about 20 of us or so; we took a big picture," continued Dale Earnhardt Jr. "We stayed up till about 2 o' clock in the morning. We went back over to the fifth wheel from Camping World and drank till about four in the morning."(0:58)

"Way down on the list"- Dale Earnhardt Jr. prioritizes "everything else" over racing in 2025
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been running at least one race every year since his retirement in 2017. However, as per reports, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not return as the driver of a JR Motorsports machine next year. He will focus on his job behind the booth with TNT Sports' and Amazon Prime's broadcast teams.
Therefore, for Dale Jr., racing is way down on the priority list, even though it is something that the 49-year-old Kannapolis native loves to do.
"We’ll look at what the family has going on, what my work schedule is," Dale Earnhardt Jr. explained in his latest Dale Jr Download podcast. "Everything else is a priority. Racing, driving a race car, while I love it, is way down on the list. It is. There’s so many other things now in my life that insist on being prioritized above that, and must be."
Meanwhile, NASCAR prepares for next week's race (September 29), which is also the first race of the Round of 12 at Kansas Speedway. Fans can watch the event live on NBC Sports and USA, or listen to radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio from 3 PM ET onwards.
