Chase Briscoe recently took part in a recent trivia game with several NASCAR drivers including Martin Truex Jr. and Chase Elliott. The video of the same, which was posted by NASCAR on X, revealed the Stewart-Haas Racing driver's biggest pet peeve.

Chase Briscoe drives the No. 14 Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing. He replaced Clint Bowyer behind the wheel in 2021. The same year, Briscoe earned the Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors.

In just his second season in NASCAR's top-tier racing series, the Mitchell, Indiana native made the Round of 8. His first Cup win came at Phoenix Raceway in 2022, making him the 200th Cup Series winner. Briscoe was also the 2016 ARCA Racing Series champion.

Being a NASCAR driver involves a lot of traveling, meaning they are required to stay at hotels quite often. However, there is something that annoys Chase Briscoe about certain hotel rooms. It is also his biggest pet peeve: bedsheets that are tightly tucked inside the mattress.

Speaking of which, the 29-year-old athlete said:

"When you get to a hotel room and the covers are tucked in so tight. I always have to pull them out. Drives me crazy. I don't like how constricted it makes me feel."

Chase Briscoe is currently 16th in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, with 455 points to his credit. He is yet to record a win this year and is 75 points behind the provisional playoff cutline. Briscoe is just days away from making his 22nd start of the season at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 21.

Chase Briscoe on his first and last ride with the No. 14 car at the Indianapolis Oval

NASCAR has not run a Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Oval since 2020, which was the year when the infamous COVID-19 struck the world. The next year, which was also Chase Briscoe's rookie year in the Cup Series, racing resumed on the Indy road course.

However, NASCAR will return to the Oval this year, making it Briscoe's first year racing on the 2.589-mile racetrack and also his last as the driver of the #14 car. Briscoe is expected to join Joe Gibbs Racing next year as Stewart-Haas Racing is closing its doors at the end of the current season.

Reflecting on the same, Briscoe said (as reported by Kelly Crandall via Racer.com):

"I’m excited. It’s going to be cool. The fact that I get to run a Brickyard 400 is really special, and to do it with how everything has played out with Stewart-Haas Racing shutting down means a lot to me getting to do it at least once in the 14 car."

He added:

"I haven’t raced there in 10 (plus) years. So, it’s going to be a cool weekend in general to run the sprint car at Bloomington and then also get to knock off a bucket list thing in the Brickyard 400."

Chase Briscoe has two Xfinity starts at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He made his official Indy debut in 2018 and finished 9th. The next year, he ran there again and put up a P8 finish.

Furthermore, Briscoe won an Xfinity Series race at the IMS in 2020, holding off fellow racer Justin Haley by 1.717 seconds, making it his 7th career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory.
