Former NASCAR champion Kyle Busch's son Brexton Busch had an incredible show of performance in his first racing action of the year, the highly anticipated Tulsa Shootout. NASCAR veteran Kenny Wallace recently uploaded a post on his social media commending the nine-year-old racing phenom for his performance at the SageNet Center at Expo Square, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Both Busch and his son Brexton competed in different events of the Tulsa Shootout and secured impressive results. Kyle Busch secured P1 in the FuelTech Race 58 of the non-wing outlaw class and P5 in the FuelTech Race 100 in the Winged A class. Meanwhile, mirroring his father's results, Brexton Busch secured P5 in the FuelTech Race 88 of the Restricted A-class division, and P1 in the FuelTech Race 135 of the Junior Sprints division.

Sharing a few words of admiration, nine-time Xfinity race winner Kenny Wallace shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) where he commended the former champion's son for an impeccable performance and his demeanor in the post-race interview. Wallace drew a comparison of which qualities Brexton takes from his dad and his mom, Samantha Busch.

"We all know that the Busch brothers (Kyle and Kurt Busch) have always been very intense with their interviews but it appears mama, Samantha Busch, as they call her Sam, it appears Sam has got a hold of Brexton. What a pleasant happy young man. Just a good interview. You could just tell he's a different spirit," Wallace said [2:00].
"I really think Brexton drives like his father but acts like his mama. Just a good spirit, I really like Brexton," he added.

Richard Childress Racing's #8 driver, Kyle Busch, is among NASCAR's most accomplished competitors. With 231 career victories, including 63 in the Cup Series ranks him ninth on the all-time wins list. Beyond his Cup achievements, he boasts an Xfinity Series championship and holds the all-time win records in both the Xfinity and Truck Series, cementing his dominance across NASCAR’s top divisions.

However, Busch recently endured one of the most challenging seasons of his 21-year career. Competing in 36 races during the 2024 campaign, Busch was unable to secure a single victory, extending his winless streak to 57 races.

Following an impressive first day in the Tulsa Shootout, two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch's son Brexton reflected on his performance in the event, and further shed light on his experience to be a part of the prestigious four-day event.

"I tried to get to the top because I knew they were all going to be on the bottom so I tried to get to the top, run the top, pass some people and then get back down to the bottom," Brexton said.

When asked to express his feelings on being a part of the grand event in Tulsa, Kyle Busch's son said:

"It's really cool and it's really fun it always fall on a lot to classes."
