NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently shared excitement about William Byron reuniting with the Dale Jr.-led JR Motorsports. On June 17, JRM announced that #24 Byron would compete in the zMAX CARS Tour LMSC race at Caraway Speedway, scheduled for July 3.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver Byron previously competed for JRM in 2014, racing in the Late Model program at Hickory Motor Speedway. Byron then drove full-time for JR Motorsports in the 2017 Xfinity Series season and won the championship title for the team.

In a recent post by JR Motorsports on X, the 49-year-old Dale Jr. talked about the upcoming CARS Tour race where Byron will drive the #24 Late Model Stock Car in a sponsorship with HendrickCars.com. Dale Jr. said:

"Hey everybody, just dropping by Late Model shop to work on some of our cars a little bit and see what the guys are up to. Right here in the shop is the HendrickCars.com Number 24 that Byron's gonna race at Caraway, on July the 3rd."
"Really excited to have Byron come back to Junior Motorsports and race in the Late Model Stocks. We had a lot of fun with him back in the day. He's excited about it. The CARS Tour is excited about it. Come to Caraway and see us." Dale Jr. added.

Here's a post by JR Motorsports announcing #24 Byron's participation in the CARS Tour on X (formerly Twitter):
