NASCAR fans recently shared their thoughts on Denny Hamlin calling out media censorship for changing the narrative of his team's attorney. Amidst the antitrust lawsuit filed by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, Hamlin accused Sirius XM NASCAR Radio of alleged media bias when their attorney discussed the lawsuit with the media channel.

Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin-led 23XI Racing, and Bob Jenkins' FRM recently hired famous sports litigation lawyer Jeffrey Kessler for their antitrust lawsuit against monopolistic practices in NASCAR's governing body. Furthermore, Kessler was recently interviewed by SiriusXM's NASCAR radio channel to discuss the lawsuit. Channel 90 covers 24/7 news of NASCAR including live races and daily news.

In his post on X, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Hamlin wrote:

"While censorship is a big topic in today’s media world, Channel 90 might be the poster child. An interview didn’t go the way they hoped after our attorney continued to state fact after fact even tho they tried their best to refute, they have since edited/deleted that interview off of their channels because the narrative doesn’t fit their beliefs. If that doesn’t convince you of the bias then nothing will."

In response to Hamlin's tweet, several fans on social media chimed in and slammed the radio channel for the alleged media bias. One user wrote:

"F*** @NASCAR Horrible Look on them."

Another user pointed out how the first statement released, irrespective of the authenticity, is considered to be a fact. He wrote:

"Scary ain't it. AND the problem is the first wave of the edit festers into fact, which it isn't. I don't mean to be mean, but never listen to anything in media."

Another NASCAR fan appreciated Hamlin for saying out loud and flayed Channel 90:

"B💥💥M Denny Hamlin B💥💥M👏👏👏Channel 90😂don’t even mention the TRASH name! Every single voice on Channel 90 is controlled - a bunch of puppets for the Corporate racing machine - Channel 90 is an extension of the problem that is driving this once great sport to its extinction - here’s to the winds of change, with the hopes that it allows the truth to be heard and for improvements to be made - God didn’t make you to be like them Denny, different is good and usually it’s the “different ones” who make a difference," the user wrote.

Another user wrote:

"Oh man, it’s just now starting .. buckle up.."

Here are some more responses by fans on X:

"The media is an enemy of the people." a user on X wrote.
"Denny, when you go against the MACHINE they will silence, censor and cancel you, I found that out 44 months ago exercising my Constitutional 1st amendment rights," another tweeted.

A brief about the lawsuit filed by Denny Hamlin's 23XI Racing

23XI Racing, along with Front Row Motorsports have jointly filed an antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR and CEO Jim France for monopolistic practices. Highlighting the unfair cooperation and anti-competitive and exclusionary practices, both the Cup Series teams on X wrote:

"We share a passion for racing, the thrill of competition, and winning. Off the racetrack, we share a belief that change is necessary for the sport we love. Together, we brought this antitrust case so that racing can thrive and become a more competitive and fair sport in ways that will benefit teams, drivers, sponsors, and, most importantly, fans."

Moreover, Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass shared the opening sentence of the lawsuit filed and captioned it by writing:

"23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports have filed a lawsuit on anti-trust grounds against NASCAR in federal court in North Carolina. The opening sentence:"

As things stand, the charter system for these two remains in limbo, and only time will tell if a resolution is reached.
