The Championship odds for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season have been out on NASCAR’s official website, and there weren’t many surprises among favorites in the odds table except for a few. NASCAR influencer Eric Estepp recently shed light on how fans are placing more odds on Kyle Busch and Ty Gibbs than Alex Bowman.
The 2025 Cup Series Championship odds table places two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch 10th with 22-1 odds to win the title next season. He finished the 2024 season in 20th place in the final Cup Series standings. While Alex Bowman stands four spots behind Busch at 14th place with 35-1 odds in the 2025 Championship odds. He finished the season in ninth position in the championship standings.
NASCAR YouTube sensation Eric Estepp has stirred up the NASCAR fan base by suggesting that Bowman is being underestimated compared to other drivers like Busch and Gibbs in the 2025 Championship odds.

“I kept scrolling, and Kyle Busch has the 10th-best odds to win the 2025 Cup Series Championship. Are we sure about that?, Where is Alex Bowman? 14th-best odds. 35-1. “Back to Bowman. 14th-best odds to win the championship? I think fans are sleeping on Alex Bowman just a little bit. I'm not going to argue Alex Bowman is one of the championship favorites. No, the guy led 60 laps all of last year. But I think I could argue he's top 10.”
How Alex Bowman fared in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season
The #48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet driver has been competing full-time in the Cup Series since the 2014 season, and in that time, he has come out as one of the top performers in the series. He has won three poles in the Daytona 500 and earned eight career wins in 317 races at the Cup level.
Alex Bowman had an amazing campaign in the 2024 season as he made it into the playoffs but fell short of advancing after the Round of 12.
The 31-year-old Tucson, Arizona, native finished the season in ninth place in the Cup Series standings. He scored a win, eight top-5s, and 17 top-10 finishes with an average finish of 14.7 in 36 races. Bowman will look to win multiple races in the 2025 season to qualify for the Championship 4 event.
