Amber Balcaen has joined Nitro Motorsports for the 2025 ARCA Menards Series campaign as a part-timer. She will drive the #70 Toyota Camry for them after a full-time stint at Venturini Motorsports.

Balcaen started her stint in the ARCA Menards Series in 2022 with Rette Jones Racing before spending two years at Venturini Motorsports. The Canadian was a part-timer in 2023 before being in their full-time roster in 2024. Now, she will shift to Nitro Motorsports

The team announced on January 9 that Amber Balcaen will be joining them and that she would also be competing at the Daytona International Speedway next month.

"Nitro Motorsports is pleased to confirm Amber Balcaen to their 2025 ARCA Menards Series campaign. Set to compete at the Daytona International Speedway next month, Amber will also see action in select events throughout the season as she continues to put together her 2025 race program," a press release from the team read.

Nitro Motorsports founder Nick Tucker commented on Balcaen's addition to his team, stating:

"Amber will be on track this weekend as she prepares for our debut event next month...She brings years’ worth of experience and a great one – two program for our series debut. We are looking forward to seeing what Amber and Thad can do in the Sunshine State"

Nitro Motorsports was founded in 2016 and the 2025 ARCA Menards Series will be their first in the category thanks to a partnership with Venturini Motorsports. The team's full-time driver for the upcoming season is Thad Moffitt, who will drive the No. 46 Toyota. Moffitt will enter the ARCA Menards Series at the back of a 32nd place finish at the NASCAR Truck Series.

Amber Balcaen is optimistic for the upcoming season

Amber Balcaen spoke about joining Nitro Motorsports for the upcoming season and thanked Nick Tucker for the opportunity. The 32-year-old said that she was looking forward to testing ahead of the event in Daytona.

"I am really excited to join Nitro Motorsports and can’t thank Nick and the team enough for the opportunity, I am looking forward to testing this weekend and hopefully find my way to the top of the charts as we work toward next month’s event in Daytona, and several other races in 2025", she said

Balcaen impressed in her first ARCA Menards Series as a full-timer in 2024 while racing for Venturini Motorsports. The Canadian finished sixth with 786 points to her name. While Balcaen wasn't able to win a race, she registered six top-10 finishes out of 20 races.

Her best performance was coming sixth at the Reese's 150, which took place at the Kansas Speedway. This remains Balcaen's joint-best finish at an ARCA Menards Series race.
