NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe, recently shared that his three-year-old son Brooks' second favorite race car driver is Noah Gragson.
Briscoe, who competed in Stewart–Haas Racing's (SHR) No. 14 for the last four years, will join Joe Gibbs Racing in 2025 after SHR shut down. Normally, he races in midget and dirt events like the Chili Bowl during the off-season but this year, he is staying home to take care of his newborn twins.
In a Q&A series on Instagram stories, Briscoe asked Brooks about his favorite driver other than his dad, which Gragson later added to his Instagram. Gragson and Briscoe were teammates at SHR.
SHR is transitioning into the Haas Factory Team next year and Briscoe will join teammates Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell and Ty Gibbs after Martin Truex Jr.’s retirement.
"Should we make this a new series" - Chase Briscoe shares son's vlogging attempt
Last week, Chase Briscoe shared a video of Cooper on X, where he tried vlogging. In the video, Cooper introduced the family dog and also showed off their Christmas tree.
"Brooks grabbed my phone earlier and apparently decided to film his own vlog 😂 should we make this a new series," Briscoe tweeted.
Briscoe shared three children with his wife, Marissa Cooper. Their oldest son, Brooks Briscoe was born on October 2, 2021. They also welcomed twins, Collins Ivy and Cooper Banks in October this year.
Meanwhile, Briscoe is set to take over Martin Truex Jr.'s No. 19 car at Joe Gibbs Racing with crew chief James Small, next season. The 29-year-old acknowledged that it is the most pressure he has faced in his career so far.
"I love the pressure side, but I do think this is probably the most pressure I’ve ever been [under] in my life, as far as professionally. It’s weird because there’s been other times where my career was literally going to be over, right?" Briscoe said (via The Express).
"But I feel like this is one of those opportunities where if you don’t perform, like, there’s no excuses. Like, you have to perform at JGR. So from that standpoint, it is different because everywhere else, there’s really not been that expectation," he added.
Briscoe had one win with three top-5 and nine top-10 finishes in 2024 with SHR. He broke a 73-race winless streak during the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway and qualified for the playoffs but was eliminated after the Round of 12.
Briscoe had zero pole positions and ended the season in 14th place.
