"Malcolm in the Middle" star Frankie Muniz made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut on Friday night in the Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. The actor-turned-driver is expected to compete in three more races throughout the season for Reaume Brothers Racing.

Besides that, Muniz will also race in the ARCA Series in Brooklyn, Michigan. Unfortunately, his day at the 1.33-mile Tennesseean track ended with a DNF. The former Holywood star's truck faced heating issues on lap 86 and soon, veered to the back of the wall. Muniz was unable to pack speed after that and finished the race 31st, 20 laps down.

Referring to the "hawk tuah" meme that went viral on social media after a girl made the "hawk tuah" sound imitating a spit, Skewcar suggested that the water spraying out of the cooling unit on the hood of Frankie Muniz's number 22, F-150 truck demonstrated a similar spit.

Skewcar wrote,

"Frankie Muniz truck got that Hawk Tuah going on."

Another user reacted to Frankie Muniz's maiden run in the Truck Series and said,

"Always something with frankie muniz he literally has no luck."
"Bummer @frankiemuniz that sucks!" added another one.

Muniz's career behind the wheel began back in 2004 when he took part in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. Three years later, he started racing in the Atlantic Championship Series. However, he got sidelined from the track after he suffered a wrist injury in 2009. Nevertheless, he returned to racing in 2011.

After a decade-long hiatus, Muniz took to stock car racing in 2021 and drove in the SRL Pro Late Model series for High Point Racing at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, California. Interestingly, Muniz steered the pace car at the 2001 Daytona 500, the historic race that witnessed the tragic death of Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Frankie Muniz reveals his learning moments amid 2024 woes

Frankie Muniz made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut this year in the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway: the United Rentals 300. As reported by Frontstretch, Muniz drove the number 35 Ford for Joey Gase Motorsports.

However, his attempt found no fruition due to a Stage 2 crash initiated by fellow driver, John Hunter Nemechek. Reflecting on the same, Muniz said in a recent interview as reported by Speedsport,

"It's just kind of things that were out of our control, as dumb as that sounds. Like Daytona, we were doing what we wanted to do. We were running at the back and waited to the end, and l still got caught up in that wreck on lap 30."
"This year has not been the most fun for me as far as racing goes. I don't think I learned anything in the few Xfinity races I did. It was a learning experience in the fact that I just had to learn how to be out of the way. It was eye-opening. It wasn't fun," he added.

Muniz will next compete at the ARCA Series race in Michigan on August 16th, followed by a pair of Truck Series races at Bristol on September 19th, and at Kansas on September 27th.
