Freddie Kraft found a sarcastic way to take a dig at Bubba Wallace's naysayers after the Alabama native signed a contract extension with 23XI Racing. Kraft took to his official X account (formerly Twitter) to deliver the jibe.

As per the latest developments, Wallace has signed a multi-year contract extension with the team owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. Thanks to the extension, the 30-year-old will continue to have an association with the Huntersville team from 2025 onwards.

23XI Racing shared a ten-second video of Bubba Wallace on X to announce the signing of the driver. The team wrote in the caption:

"From day one Bubba has been an integral part of 23XI. We’re excited to announce that he has signed a multi-year renewal and will continue to play a key role in helping 23XI grow and succeed. #ForwardTogether."

As 23XI Racing announced its decision on social media, Kraft, Wallace's long-time spotter, quote-tweeted the post, and took the sarcastic jibe. He wrote:

"Well (s**t emoji). Was hoping for someone new (annoyed emoji)."

The announcement has come amid the ongoing charter tussle between 23XI and NASCAR, which put 23XI's entry to the Cup Series season under serious jeopardy. However, Jordan and Hamlin kept that aside and retained Wallace for some more years at Huntersville.

23XI Racing is one of only two teams not to agree to NASCAR's upcoming charter deal. This put the future of Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and Front Row Motorsport drivers, Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland in jeopardy.

As neither 23XI nor NASCAR seem to have moved from their stance, Wallace found the situation frustrating and opened up about the implications he could face going forward in NASCAR.

"I know my process has been kind of going hand in hand with the charter agreements," Wallace said. "So, it's frustrating to see where we're at because that impacts my life, my livelihood, and everything moving forward for my future," Wallace told Frontstretch earlier this month.

Bubba Wallace failed to qualify for the 2024 NASCAR playoffs after not winning a race in regular season. He currently stands in 19th place with 697 points after 28 races. His teammate Tyler Reddick qualified for the playoffs, and is vying for the championship.
