How did Kyle Busch's race go on Father's Day?

Sunday's race at Iowa Speedway turned out to be yet another fiasco for Kyle Busch. With this, the RCR driver is on a 38-race winless streak, something he is experiencing for the first time in his entire NASCAR career.
Busch started the race from 7th, but could not finish it due to a mechanical failure. With 77 laps to go, the #8 driver arrived on the pit lane, and that was the end of his Iowa race. Speaking about this in the post-race interview, he said to Frontstrech (0.06 - 0.28):
"Parts and pieces broke. Something in the left-rear suspension. I don’t know if it was a toe link or what it was, but it changed the skew of the back of the car and it was just undrivable doing that. We came in and fixed it. Rolling back out, we broke the belt. I have no idea, but it’s frustrating.”
After the Iowa disaster, Busch is now 31 points behind the playoff cut-off line. In terms of season standings, the Richard Childress Racing star is in 16th place with 383 points. It will be his first NASCAR Cup Series season without a victory if Kyle Busch fails to win at least one in the remaining nine races of this season.
