Danica Patrick recently touched upon the massive transformation she has undergone this year. As 2024 nears its end, the former NASCAR driver opened up about her transformational year, where she ventured from sports to politics.

Patrick has been an extremely vocal person when it comes to American politics. The former racing driver has actively backed Donald Trump in the latter's presidential election in November this year.

Sharing her personal experience on social media, Patrick updated a post from her official X account. In the post, she recalled the massive transformation she experienced this year. Here's what she wrote:

"In exactly one year I went from being a spectator at my first ever political event... to a speaker at it," Patrick wrote. "Living and speaking your truth - leads to your purpose - which gives you all the energy you need to make an impact - and your impact... becomes your legacy."

The 42-year-old thoroughly supported Trump in both online and offline worlds. So much so that she went from attending rallies to speaking at them, and not to forget her daily updates about the upcoming United States President.

A former NASCAR and IndyCar driver, Danica Patrick has multiple firsts under her belt as a racing driver. She is the first woman to win an IndyCar race and the first woman to win a NASCAR Cup Series pole. She participated in 191 Cup Series races, and 116 IndyCar races.

Danica Patrick once revealed why she backed Donald Trump against Kamala Harris

Danica Patrick's support for Donald Trump in the 2024 United States presidential election is no secret. The Sky Sports F1 pundit backed the former US President at every given opportunity and once publicly revealed why she chose to root for Trump instead of Kamala Harris.

“It’s like the rational, reasonable choice," she told Fox Sports. "There is a difference definitely between the way that men and women are voting, and I think maybe one of the reasons why women are having a harder time with the vote is just his [Trump’s] personality."

Notably, the former IndyCar driver also voted for Trump in the election, which interestingly was her first vote in all 42 years. Sharing her experience, Danica Patrick took to X and wrote that she chose Donald Trump as her president and that she could not wait to make America great again.

“I voted today, for the first time. I made a rule for myself that if I didn’t vote, I could not have an opinion about the outcome because I didn’t earn that right. Not this time. I voted for Donald Trump, and I can’t wait to have him make America great again!"

Republican candidate Donald Trump comfortably won against the Democratic Party's Kamala Harris. He will take charge of the presidential duties next year as a successor to Joe Biden.
