The Peter Murphy Classic of the NASCAR Kubota High Limit Racing Series got done and dusted on Friday, August 16, at Kings Speedway in Hanford, California, with 26 entries.
Tyler Courtney, driving the #7BC entry, secured his fifth win of the 2024 Kubota High Limit Racing Series season at the Kings Speedway. It was his 11th overall victory this season.
Courtney emerged victorious after grabbing the lead from Brad Sweet and Corey Day on lap 25 of 35 and stayed out front without any challenge to cross the finish line in P1.
Courtney led the final 11 laps and crossed the finish line by an impressive margin ahead of Rico Abreu to take the checkered flag and earn a prize money of $20,000 in the Peter Murphy Classic.
Meanwhile, Rico Abreu finished runner-up, followed by Hendrick Motorsports and Kyle Larson's brother-in-law Brad Sweet, Cole Macedo, and James McFadden in the top five. Cory Eliason, Zeb Wise, Jamie Veal, Dominic Scelzi, and Kasey Kahne completed the top 10.
