Two-time Xfinity Series champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently shared a throwback image from his childhood with his father and NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. on his X account. The shared picture is from a trip to the media center after coming back from the track with his father.

Dale Jr. is a former NASCAR Cup Series driver and owner of the Xfinity Series team JR Motorsports. The Kannapolis native followed his father's footsteps and entered the world of racing stock cars on an oval track. He has secured two Daytona 500 wins in his 19-year career and retired in 2017.

Recently, NASCAR analyst Jay Coker shared an image of young Dale Earnhardt Jr. with his father, Dale Earnhardt Sr., carrying a bunch of files and asked him what the files were about. The post got Junior's attention, and he revealed the files were media packets and wrote:

"The media center had media packets of all the teams. I would grab one of each team every trip to the track to get postcards and other cool items. Fun time being a kid with the access I had."

Dale Earnhardt Jr. spent a large amount of time on track with his father and followed in his footsteps to race in the stock car series. Dale Sr. and Jr. are one of the iconic father-son duos who dominated the sport. Earnhardt Senior won 76 races and seven titles in the Cup Series, whereas Junior won 26 races including two Daytona 500 races. However, Dale Jr. never won a title in the Cup Series, but he overcame that with his immense popularity in the sport.
