NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. will return behind the wheel of his iconic Budweiser #8 Chevrolet in the Late Model Stock Car Races 2024 and 2025. Several fans have reacted to the news, welcoming him back to the grid in the legendary racecar.

Dale Jr. followed in his father Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s footsteps by debuting in NASCAR's Busch Series (now Xfinity) in 1996. He quickly found success, winning back-to-back championships in 1998 and 1999. Over his career, Dale Jr. earned 50 race wins across NASCAR's top two divisions. However, unlike his father, who won seven Cup Series titles, Dale Jr. never secured a Cup championship despite his numerous achievements.

Recently, Dale Jr.'s JR Motorsports announced the return of the #8 Budweiser Chevy, driven by the former Xfinity Series champion in the prime of his career. The news was shared on X.

Several fans have expressed their joy and enthusiasm to see the NASCAR legend in the Budweiser paint scheme.

"Holy crap y'all went all out on the merch! Give mercy to my wallet!" a fan wrote.
"Idk what I got more excited for. The Budweiser return or that beautiful 8. I'm gonna say both. This is awesome," a fan stated.
After these sales, @DaleJr will be able to afford a charter🤣" another fan wrote.
"Die Cast? Please take my money now…" a fan said.
"Nature is healing, the bud 8 is back" a fan expressed.

Meanwhile, one particular fan inquired about certain changes in the design elements of the #8 Budweiser Chevy.

"Why is it missing a line on both sides from the back of the front wheel well? Needs three lines, not two. I assume it's a DEI trademarked design." the fan wrote.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., who also co-owns the zMAX CARS Tour with NASCAR veteran Kevin Harvick, will appear for a limited time in the Late Model Stock Car events in the grassroots series. The #8 Chevy's return to the track with Dale Jr. in the driving seat is aimed to attract racing fans and further help grow the CARS Tour.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes feelings known about the fading 'identity' of a NASCAR driver post-retirement

Dale Earnhardt Jr. started his NASCAR career piloting the #8 Budweiser Chevrolet. The former Xfinity Series champion recently shed light on how he felt about racing full-time, following his retirement in 2017.

Dale Jr. believes that initially, having free time away from the grid made him feel "glad to be away from the grind. However, as time passed, his perspective changed. In a recent episode of his Dirty Mo Media podcast, Dale Jr. said:

"I had a weird deal where I was fricking awesome with being retired my first year. I was so glad to be out of the grind, but each year it's gotten worse."
"I really miss being that guy. That was my identity," he added.

Although Dale Jr. competes in the Xfinity Series part-time, his return to the driving seat of the #8 Budweiser Chevy is being cherished by the NASCAR community.
