On Thursday, January 11, Kyle Busch’s Richard Childress Racing announced that Global Industrial has renewed and expanded its relationship with the organization as a part of a multi-year deal.
Global, value-added national distributor of industrial products and MRO supplies, will continue its role as the primary sponsor while increasing its presence on Austin Hill’s #21 Chevrolet in the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season and beyond.
The company will also make its debut in the NASCAR Cup Series as a primary sponsor for Kyle Busch’s #8 Chevrolet Camaro.
The senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Global Industrial, Alex Tomey, spoke about the extension with Richard Childress’s owned team.
“We are excited to partner with Richard Childress Racing and Austin Hill for another season of NASCAR racing action. It has been an incredible experience to be part of the RCR platform, which has allowed us to highlight the products and solutions we offer, and strengthen relationships with our associates, customers, and vendor partners,” he said.
“Austin has been an exceptional ambassador for the Global Industrial brand, and we look forward to expanding our relationship as we team up with Kyle Busch for our first-ever NASCAR Cup Series race in 2024,” Tomey added.
Last year, Austin Hill was able to win a couple of wins in the Global Industrial’s paint scheme and one of them came at the company's home track of Pocono Raceway.
“2024 should be even more exciting as Kyle joins the Global Industrial family” – Kyle Busch’s team on extension with Global Industrial
RCR president Torrey Galida feels grateful to continue the partnership with Global Industrial and welcomed them for their Cup debut as a sponsor. Galida is hoping for an exciting 2024 season with Kyle Busch also as part of the Global family.
In a team release, the president of RCR, Torrey Galida, said:
“We are grateful for our partnership with Global Industrial to continue on a path of growth and to welcome them into the Cup Series. Witnessing Austin win two races last season in their primary scheme and seeing the excitement of their associates and customers in victory lane was a great way to cap off year two of the program.”
“Global Industrial has done an excellent job of utilizing Austin for employee events and as a spokesperson at their national trade show. 2024 should be even more exciting as Kyle joins the Global Industrial family,” he added.
As of now, neither RCR nor Global Industrial company has mentioned for which races they will serve as a primary sponsor for Kyle Busch and Austin Hill in 2024.
