Ahead of the final race of the season in Phoenix, Corey LaJoie shared a heartfelt video message on his social media. After Spire Motorsports announced his departure, the 33-year-old is without a Cup ride for the 2025 NASCAR season.

LaJoie parted ways with Spire in July, soon after the team announced the signing of the championship-winning crew chief Rodney Childers to the #7 Chevy next season. The Charlotte, North Carolina native had been a part of the Jeff Dickerson-owned Cup team since it started fielding entries in the Cup Series in 2021. However, things have been a rollercoaster for the veteran driver, who is yet to win a Cup Series race.

In an Instagram post, LaJoie spoke about how people talk about God being good when they are on the mountaintop and not when they are in the valley.

"Had a thought, and the thought was, you know, it's a common theme to hear people on the mountaintop with the spotlights on talk about how God is so good because of the good things going on in their life. It's not often you hear about somebody that is talking about how good God is in the valley," Corey LaJoie said.

Furthermore, he reflected on this year's journey and learnings.

"Through the funk, through the storm, through the negative self-talk that you work through, and you lean in and you try to figure it all out, I've learned that God's closer to me in the valley than he ever was when I was at the mountain top. So I think there's some sweet people need that encouragement today that you got to fight, you got to claw and you got to get out of it, but God's with you every step of the way, and he's closer to you in the valley than he is on mountaintop."

LaJoie is currently behind the #51 Ford for Rick Ware Racing after an unconventional swap with Justin Haley, who now pilots the #7 Chevy of Spire Motorsports.

Moreover, rumors have claimed he could continue with Rick Ware's outfit for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

After competing in 29 races this season with Spire Motorsports, Corey LaJoie was swapped with Justin Haley and is now set to run his final race of the season under the Rick Ware Racing shed.

In a press release, #51 LaJoie discussed his season so far and what its been like working under the Ford roster.

"I've really enjoyed working with everyone at Rick Ware Racing. I feel like we've had some good races and some tough weekends, but we keep going. As far as the season, it's about the same. Ups and downs, but we've got one more race to go out and have a strong run. I'd like to finish the year on a high note and give everyone something to be proud of," Corey LaJoie said (via Speedwaydigest).

LaJoie's season-best result was a P4 at the 2024 Daytona 500. Since then, he has only managed two more top-10 finishes.
