Former NASCAR driver Tony Stewart recently shared a video of his team Stewart Haas Racing's hauler leaving Phoenix Raceway for the last time after the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship Race. Several fans have expressed their feelings on watching the emotional moment ahead of SHR's imminent exit from NASCAR.

As NASCAR closed its books for the 2024 campaign, Stewart Haas Racing, who had announced their exit from the sport earlier this year, packed their bags for the final time in NASCAR. Co-owner Tony Stewart shared a video of the last SHR hauler leaving the track, where once they raced as champions, on X (formerly Twitter).

Several SHR fans shared heartfelt responses to the video posted by Tony Stewart.

"Damn, got a lump in my throat watching … thank you Smoke for laying it all on the line for us day in and day out. You’re a legend in my book." a fan wrote
"Figured it'd be a cold day in hell before Stewart, or Earnhardt names weren't household in NASCAR. Sucks to see your name falling out of the sport by active teams, but thank you for your contributions over the years" a fan commented

One particular fan labeled Tony Stewart as the reason why their interest peaked in NASCAR and thanked the former champion.

"You were the driver that got me into the sport in 2011, and you were my favorite driver until you retired in 2016. Seriously thank you for everything you’ve done for the sport, and I’m going to miss seeing your cars out on the track next year. Best of luck Smoke!" the fan wrote

In their 22-year NASCAR journey, Tony Stewart and Gene Haas led Stewart-Haas Racing to three driver championships and 102 total victories, 70 of which were in the Cup Series.


Tony Stewart's driver shared heartfelt message on team radio ahead of SHR's final race at Phoenix

NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe shared an emotional message on the team radio before the Championship Race started at Phoenix. Briscoe was the only SHR driver to make it to the playoffs, however, his title chase came to an end before the Round of 8.

Richard Boswell, Briscoe's crew chief spoke with Stewart Haas' #14 team at Phoenix, appreciating the crew that worked hard all year round to bring Briscoe to the playoffs. Extending on his words, Tony Stewart's driver Chase Briscoe said (via X)

"It's been an absolute honor and privilege to go drive this thing,it made my dreams come true. Appreciate all the work, effort, and sacrifices you and your families have made. Definitely doesn't go unnoticed, so, love each and every one of you,"

Chase Briscoe is set to join Joe Gibbs Racing on a multi-year contract in 2025, as a replacement for the retiring Martin Truex Jr. in the #19 Toyota Camry
