The NASCAR Xfinity Series' (NXS) Haas Factory Team have announced their organizational team lineup for the 2025 season which includes the crew chiefs of the #00 team and the #41 teams piloted by Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer, respectively. Creed will be joined by Jonathan Toney, while Mayer will be working with Jason Trinchere for the upcoming season.
Jonathan Toney has already been with the Haas team for the past 20 years, since it's Haas CNC days, and was the crew chief for Cole Custer when he secured the top spot in the Drivers' standings in the 2023 Xfinity Series season. The 2023 season was the first time that Toney was put into the crew chief position after spending his time with the team in an engineering role. He worked with Custer for the last two years, bringing the Haas Factory Team one championship title, five race wins, along with 29 top 5s and 45 Top 10s.
Jason Trinchere has been a crew chief for two other NASCAR teams previously, Spire Motorsports and Kaulig Racing. His experience in the NXS comes from his four-year run with Kaulig Racing, where he was paired with drivers Justin Haley, A.J. Allmendinger, Landon Cassill, Daniel Hemric, Derek Kraus, Layne Riggs and Jordan Taylor. Trinchere and Almendinger achieved five race wins in the 2021 season, and throughout his time with Kaulig, Trinchere has achieved 27 Top 5s and 51 Top 10s. His most recent stint in NASCAR was in the Craftsman Truck series, as a crew chief for Spire Motorsports' Chase Purdy in the #77 truck, where together they scored two Top 5s and six Top 10 finishes.
Also announced was the hiring of Nick Sandler for the competition director position, moving from Roush Fenway Keselowski racing to the Haas Factory Team for the upcoming season. Sandler has been with RFK racing for 19 years, and his roles included crew chief for Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s 2015-2016 seasons, as well as later overseeing the engineering department for the team. Sandler will be taking care of the HFT's Cup Series endeavours, where Cole Custer will be driving the #41, the only Haas Factory Team car in the series.
Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed both finished in the Top 10 of the Drivers' standing this past year. They will race for HFT in their first race at the Daytona International Speedway in the United Rentals 300.
