Hailie Deegan's former NASCAR team, AM Racing, has announced its partnership with Sentinel Foundation and Nine Line Apparel in support of the victims of Hurricane Helene. AM Racing will team up with the #15 Ford and its driver Dylan Lupton for the Talladega race.
The Statesville, North Carolina, team has joined several members of the NASCAR community to raise money and continue the hurricane relief efforts in Western North Carolina. To assist the victims of Hurricane Helene, the Sentinel Foundation is working on-site with other NGOs in the rescue operations, clearing roads and trees, and assisting the victims affected by the devastating hurricane.
Moreover, Deegan's former Xfinity team is helping the Nine Line Apparel in spreading awareness about the relief T-shirts, which will be then donated to the aforementioned foundation and Samaritan's Purse.
In a recent post on X, AM Racing wrote:
"We are proud to be partnering with the Sentinel Foundation & Nine Line Apparel this weekend @Talladega to help raise money to continue Hurricane Relief efforts in Western North Carolina. Lupton Dylan will be sporting a special paint scheme with a QR to donate today!"
Lupton returned to Xfinity Series to compete in the reaming races of the 2024 Xfinity Series season. He also became the sixth driver this season for AM Racing after the organization parted ways with the 23-year-old Deegan in July.
Hailie Deegan opens up on her upcoming opportunity in the racing world
Former Xfinity and Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan has transitioned from stock car racing to open-wheel racing. She will be next seen in a single-seater at the Formula Reginal Americas.
The California native will be competing for Toney Driver Development at the Circuit of the Americas ( COTA ) from October 31 to November 3 for the season finale of the FR Americas.
In a statement, Deegan said ( via RTD Media ):
"I’m beyond excited to be making my first open-wheel start at Circuit of the Americas with TDD. I have competed in a handful of races at COTA, and I am looking forward to my first open-wheel race start being at a track I’m familiar with. Standing starts will be new for me, but I’m always up for a challenge and the opportunity to continue to learn and drive."
With experience of competing for almost four years in stock car series such as ARCA and NASCAR, it will be a new learning curve from the trailblazer.
