NASCAR driver Harrison Burton's fiancé took to her social media to share some glimpses of her and the 2024 race winner during the Christmas season. Jenna Petty, who got engaged to the driver recently, posted a series of images posing in the sunlight, showing off her look this holiday.
The dancer shared the photos earlier today on Instagram with the caption:
"each christmas gets merrier & brighter"
The High Point University alum and the former #21 driver have known each other since high school and have been together since 2017. The couple, who have been engaged since March of this year, have shared plans to get married in October 2025.
Harrison Burton, son of the 'Mayor of NASCAR', Jeff Burton, has been racing full-time in the Cup Series for the last three years. The 2024 season saw the North Carolina native score his first win in the sport after he beat two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch in the final lap at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at the Daytona International Speedway in August. The win, a 100th for the Wood Brothers Racing team, was key in getting Burton to his first playoffs in the Cup Series.
Speaking about the win, Burton said (via NASCAR.com):
“It’s just been so hard, and that’s the way it should be. The Cup Series is really, really hard. But to get the Wood Brothers’ 100th win, get my very first Cup win, it’s just really, really hard to put in words.”
The 24-year-old driver was eliminated from the playoffs early on, finishing his season in 16th place in the standings. Along with his first win, Burton also added one top 5 and two top 10s to his Cup Series record.
Burton will not be back racing for Wood Brothers next year as he moves to the Xfinity Series to drive for AM Racing.
Harrison Burton reflects on losing his seat in the Cup Series
The former #21 driver spoke about moving from the Cup Series to the second-tier competition of the Xfinity Series when it was announced that he would be joining AM Racing.
Harrison Burton, who has raced in the Xfinity Series before with Joe Gibbs Racing, reflected on his time in the Cup Series over the last few years and spoke about his upcoming partnership with AM Racing. He said (via NASCAR.com):
“I mean, it’s a privilege to drive a race car in NASCAR, in any of the top three series. So obviously, it’s not what I wanted to happen. I didn’t want to lose my job, right? But what I did do is learned a lot from this experience. I feel like I’m a better race car driver than when I was in Xfinity. And AM Racing has confidence in me that I can help them turn their program around and get it where it needs to be as well. They have shared and have shown they want to do that, they want to get better, and are willing to put the work in to do that, and I think with both of us with that same mindset, I don’t see why there’s any reason we can’t.”
During his time in the Xfinity Series (2019 - 2021), Burton qualified for the playoffs twice, finishing 8th in the standings in 2020 and 2021. He also accumulated four wins, 26 Top 5s, and 49 Top 10s over his two full-time and one part-time season in the series.
Harrison Burton will drive the #15 car for AM Racing as it enters its third season in the Xfinity Series next year.
