NASCAR driver Harrison Burton's fiancée Jenna Petty recently shared an update on her social media, indicating her final trip for a NASCAR race this season. The Cup Series is headed to Phoenix Raceway for the Championship race, which will decide the winner of the coveted Cup Series title.
Harrison Burton, son of NASCAR veteran Jeff Burton, pilots the #21 Ford for Wood Brothers Racing, competing full-time in the Cup Series. He swiftly rose to the Cup Series, notably as the first driver born in the 2000s to reach NASCAR's top division. Burton drove down victory lane in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway and secured his spot in the playoffs. However, he could not make it past the Round of 16.
As NASCAR's 2024 campaign nears its end, Burton's fiancée Jenna Petty shared a serene picture, flying over the mountains, on her Instagram story. In her story, she wrote:
"Last race of the year loading..."
Jenna Petty, a High Point University alumna, is a dancer with Dance Productions—The Remix as of June 2024. She is also involved in the Better Half Dash, a charity racing event hosted by Motor Racing Outreach that invites NASCAR drivers' wives and girlfriends to participate.
The #21 driver and Petty have reportedly been together since 2017. In March of this year, Burton got down on one knee near a stone bridge in New York's magnificent Central Park and proposed. Here are a few pictures of the special day (via @harrisonburton12 on Instagram)
"It has always been and will always be, you. 3.27.2024 💍" the post is captioned
Harrison Burton, who had an underwhelming season thus far, secured a spot in the playoffs. However, despite his win, WBR has decided to replace him with Stewart Haas Racing's #4 driver, Josh Berry.
Harrison Burton safeguards racing future with AM Racing, shifts to Xfinity Series
Despite a clouded future in NASCAR, Harrison Burton has secured a move to AM Racing in the Xfinity Series. Burton will be piloting former Xfinity driver Hailie Deegan's #15 Ford, who parted ways with the team earlier this year.
Following the announcement, AM Racing's President Wade Moore shared his thoughts on bringing Burton to their Xfinity program. In the team's official release, Moore said:
“He is a first-class individual and has already proven that he will immediately impact each team member here at AM in a positive manner. His experiences across NASCAR’s National Series will position him to be a leader and a catalyst in our pursuit of Victory Lane and the goals we ultimately envision for this program."
Meanwhile, after a controversy-filled playoff race at Martinsville, the championship field was set. The two remaining spots were filled by Penske's Ryan Blaney and HMS' #24 driver William Byron.
