Samantha Busch, wife of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, recently shared her thoughts on their son Brexton’s debut in the broadcast booth during the prestigious four-day Tulsa Shootout. Brexton, who also competed alongside his father, captured attention by securing his first Golden Driller in the Junior Sprints division at the renowned event.
Kyle and Samantha Busch have shared nearly 14 years of marriage, having tied the knot on December 31, 2010, after two years of dating. Their family includes son Brexton Locke, born in 2015, and daughter Lennix Key, born in 2022. Samantha frequently offers fans a peek into their family life through her active social media presence.
Recently, the famed NASCAR couple's son Brexton and fellow Junior Sprints driver Braxton Flatt took over the broadcaster box during the Tulsa Shootout. Brexton shared a few snaps from his debut as a commentator on X and thanked FloRacing for the opportunity.
"Had so much fun on the mic! Hopefully @FloRacing let’s @BraxtonFlatt and I do it again next year!🎤🤪" wrote Kyle Busch's son.
Upon witnessing her son among the broadcasters, Samantha Busch playfully jabbed at Brexton, reminding the newly crowned Junior Sprints champ about something he 'conveniently forgot.'
Hey @FloRacing tell Brexton I made him pasta yesterday and took him for pizza and ice cream last night, he conveniently forgot that." Samantha said.
Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 8 for Richard Childress Racing, is gearing up for his third full-time season with the storied team in the Cup Series. Despite a challenging 2024 campaign, where he missed the playoffs and went winless, Busch appears to be gaining momentum after a strong performance in the Tulsa Shootout.
"The driller's worth it": Kyle Busch and Samantha ecstatic following their son's Junior Sprint triumph
Brexton Busch turned last year’s disappointment at the Tulsa Shootout into triumph by winning his first Junior Sprints championship. The nine-year-old’s impressive comeback showcased the championship spirit instilled in him. Following the race, Kyle and Samantha Busch expressed their pride and joy in Brexton’s remarkable accomplishment, via FloRacing:
"Oh my gosh, I was crying. I'm so proud of him. He's worked at this all year. He was so upset last year. Literally every race he went to this year, he's like, 'I'm doing it for Tulsa.' And he did it. I was so happy," Samantha said.
When Kyle Busch was asked the same question, the Nevada native said:
"I think this is more stress and more butterflies on me here for him than it is for the Daytona 500. I mean, this is just such a huge deal. And it means so much as a family and what we do and what we pour our lives into and how we take away from our anniversary week. And we spend it in Tulsa every year now. So yeah, this is worth it. The driller's worth it." Brexton's father added.
