Chase Elliott has expressed his thoughts about Christopher Bell's slip-up during a media interaction at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The #9 Chevy driver felt bad for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver who accidentally revealed Martin Truex Jr.'s potential replacement.

After years of speculations about his time off from NASCAR, Truex Jr. announced his retirement from full-time Cup Series racing before kicking off his Iowa run. Thus, the #19 seat is vacant so far for the next season and several free agents on the roster have a shot at signing up with Joe Gibbs' team.

Recently, Christopher Bell talked about leadership roles in the North Carolina-based outfit but unknowingly said, "Whenever Chase [Briscoe] comes into the car," before going into a silent realization. Upon learning what he had done, the #20 Toyota driver couldn't help but grin and try to cover up. However, his efforts were rendered useless as the reporters had already taken note of the JGR driver's words about Chase Briscoe being his potential teammate and it spread like wildfire.

Ahead of the USA Today 301, Chase Elliott was asked if he heard about Bell's accidental revelation. The Hendrick Motorsports driver was well aware of the incident and expressed his thoughts while outlining he's not the Chase mentioned by Christopher.

"I guess I'm headed to go drive for JGR now too. So, I don't think so, if I am, I didn't know about it. I felt bad for Bell, such an honest mistake you can tell, such a genuine like, he just slipped up," Elliott said via Bob Pockrass on X (0.23).

Kyle Larson takes a hilarious dig at Chase Elliott after Christopher Bell's mishap

Christopher Bell's accident became a hot topic in the NASCAR community in no time, and the fans opined on Chase Elliott's move to JGR. However, Bell didn't explicitly state which 'Chase' he was talking about, Elliott or Stewart-Haas Racing's Briscoe. But the moment was enough for the fanbase to chime in.

Not only the community, but Chase Elliott's teammate Kyle Larson, too, didn't hold back from poking fun at the #9 Chevy driver. Soon after the premature revelation, Larson replied to Bell's video posted by Toby Christie on X, hilariously highlighting being "blindsided" while jokingly congratulating Elliott for his new venture with Joe Gibbs Racing.

"Man totally blind sided by this news! Wishing @chaseelliott the best on his new adventure at @JoeGibbsRacing. Have enjoyed you as a teammate! 😂 Good Luck #d19," Larson wrote.

Even though Bell has made a big revelation, Chase Briscoe's signing with JGR is yet to become official. But the #14 Ford driver revealed about being "blown up pretty bad" when he would look at his mobile as he couldn't get the news sooner due to signal problems.
