Joey Logano had strong words as he spoke out against Austin Dillon at Richmond. The Richard Childress Racing driver hit Logano in the closing seconds of the race to take the checkered flag, which left the 2x Cup champion in a seeming rage.

Logano said in a post-race interview what Dillon did was "a bunch of bulls**t." However, the #22 driver's outburst wasn't just limited to his words as he seemingly expressed his feelings from behind of the wheel of his Ford Mustang on the pit road toward the #3 crew and team members.

But all of this is something that Dillon said he doesn't agree with, even though he understood Logano's anger. While speaking to Kevin Harvick, the #3 driver addressed Logano's heated post-race interview as well as his pit road manuevres:

"I get it you've got to be mad and upset. But do it in, like, an interview or talk to me about it. You've got to be careful on pit road with that type of stuff. He threw some low blows in there. Obviously [he was] frustrated in the moment, but the two guys that I got into it with have done that a lot that I've learned from on the last lap of the races themselves.," Dillon said as per FOX Sports.

The Richmond winner pointed to Logano's interviews from the past where the Penske driver had no hesitation in justifying his means to win a race. Dillon claimed Logano has done it at Martinsville and other tracks in the past, but this time he was the victim himself, which the RCR driver claimed happens at times.

Dillon did add that should Logano decided to "retaliate", he would understand that:

"He's got a lot more wins than I do. If he retaliates, he retaliates. My grandfather [Richard Childress] said, ‘You might kick a dog, but he’ll bite back,'" Dillon added.

Could Joey Logano be penalized for his pit road actions a Richmond? Denny Hamlin weighs in

Speaking on his podcast recently, Denny Hamlin, who was the other driver Austin Dillon dumped on his way to the win, addressed whether NASCAR could hand Joey Logano a penalty.

Hamlin mentioned that NASCAR doesn't love any activity on a hot pit road, and that no one is supposed to be over the wall while the racecars are coming onto pit road after the race. But the Joe Gibbs Racing driver also understood that NASCAR has become lenient with this as of late, and hoped that this would be the moment to "tighten that up a little bit."

As for whether Logano would be penalized or not, Hamlin said:

“He was seeing red at the moment and he saw the guys on [Dillon’s] team, so he did a burnout in front of them. I don’t know, I doubt they’ll do anything.”

So with that said, it'll be interesting to see who,if anyone, gets a penalty in the Austin Dillon-Joey Logano-Denny Hamlin incident from Richmond.

It's worth mentioning that NASCAR's senior vice president of competition, Elton Sawyer, suggested that a decision could be announced on Tuesday.
