"He is roasting my ass right now": Ryan Blaney opens up on 'pretty epic' moment by Gianna Tulio's father at their wedding 

Ryan Blaney recently shared his thoughts on his father-in-law's speech at his wedding reception. The Team Penske driver got married to his longtime girlfriend, Gianna Tulio, in December 2024, having gotten engaged a year prior.

During an appearance on Dirty Air alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy, Blaney talked about his wife's father's speech. After Amy Earnhardt mentioned that Gianna Tulio's father's speech was "pretty epic", Ryan Blaney said:

"She (Gianna) looked over at me, we're sitting at the table, halfway through the speech she's like, 'He is roasting my ass right now.' It was good though. Bruce had a good speech."

This prompted Dale Jr., who was also a guest at the wedding, to add that Gianna's father "laid it all out" in his speech. Earnhardt said:

"As a girl dad, I was sitting there, and part of me was like, 'Holy s**t! I can't believe he's doing this.' And immediately I thought, 'He's gotta do it.' He came in here with one objective. This is his mission. He's like, 'I'm not leaving without saying this s**t'." [54:40]

Blaney added that the speech was like a movie with three parts. It had a buildup, a middle sequence, and then the climax, which he found to be "awesome". However, he remarked that his wife felt "kind of embarrassed" about it, while he was laughing.

Ryan Blaney forgot to keep Gianna Tulio's father in the loop before proposing in December 2023

During an interview in September 2024, Ryan Blaney stated that he forgot to ask his girlfriend Gianna Tulio's father before proposing to her. On the Teardown podcast, Blaney said that he didn't ask her father until they were about to get on the plane.

However, Blaney mentioned that he shares a great relationship with Tulio's father and that he loves him. The 2023 Cup champion described:

"Hey Mr. Julio, you know, I'm about to get on this plane, and I just had a question I was wanting to ask you before I asked Gianna, here in a handful of days. I was going to ask J to marry me; I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you."

Blaney added that Tulio's father replied that he'll think about it for "a couple of days," but immediately told him that he was only kidding. In the end, Ryan Blaney proposed to Gianna Tulio in December 2023 and they got married in Aspen a year later.
