NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace recently expressed his feelings on becoming a father. Wallace and his wife Amanda welcomed their son, Becks Hayden Wallace, on September 29.

Bubba Wallace pilots the #23 Toyota for 23XI Racing, competing full-time in the Cup Series. In a career spanning 8 years, Wallace has secured 8 race victories in NASCAR's top three divisions, two of which came in the Cup Series. Wallace faced early-season struggles. However, as the regular season progressed, the #23 driver found his stride and delivered strong performances. Despite his late-season surge, Wallace ultimately fell short of securing a spot in the 2024 playoffs.

On a brighter note, Bubba Wallace became a father a little over a month ago. Ahead of the playoff race at Talladega, Wallace shared his thoughts on being a new parent (via NASCAR on NBC on X, formerly Twitter).

"I've been focused on baby boy. What a blessing he has been to our family. Becks is doing really good. He sleeps a lot, which is great. So, people talk about lack of sleep. I hope my wife isn't watching him, I feel good, I hope she feels good. But yeah, everything's been going really good and this first week, I'm enjoying it. I've had a smile on my face," Wallace said
"We've been learning what not to do. I feel like I'm a master at changing diapers. I've never changed a diaper before until my own. So I figured that out. But I thought I'm going to get humbled here in the next couple weeks. He's got some tricks up his sleeves already. But all in all, it's just been a really good week." he added

Bubba Wallace will start the race in P23 following the qualifying session at Talladega Superspeedway. Front Row Motorsports' Michael McDowell placed his # 34 Ford, joined by Team Penske's Austin Cindric in the front row.

When Ryan Blaney defended Bubba Wallace's first NASCAR Cup win in unusual circumstances at Talladega

Bubba Wallace's first Cup Series victory came in the 2021 Yellawood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, after the #23 driver navigated his way to P1 during the race before it was red-flagged due to inclement weather. Reigning Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney backed Wallace's win despite the circumstances in which he acquired it.

Following the end of the race, Blaney, who has been a close friend of the #23 driver since early in their racing careers, said:

"People say, 'Oh, it was rain out. You know, it doesn't really count.' Like, hey, listen, he and I both restart in the back, like the restart before, and he drove to the front and made the moves that were the best moves to get him to the lead, and I stuck back in 20th. He did everything right to put himself in the spot, and definitely deserves it." [01:37]

Wallace would be looking to drive down victory lane again in Talladega. Catch him live at 2 PM ET on Sunday, October 6.
