Denny Hamlin approached the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, having never won at the track. However, this time, as NASCAR made its return to the venue after a three-year hiatus, Hamlin won the first stage, marking his inaugural stage win at Indianapolis.

His 23XI Racing teammate secured the second stage, adding 10 crucial points to Hamlin's efforts to qualify for the playoffs. The stage win was Wallace's first since 2022, and he finished fifth overall. Elliott came in fourth, while Hamlin secured third place in Stage 2.

He continued to engage with his fans, signing autographs on a cap and t-shirt. When a reporter questioned a fan about his loyalty to Denny Hamlin, asking "Why Denny," the excited and breathless fan responded:

What went down between Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin near the Brickyard 400 race's end?

Kyle Busch was on track for a much-needed top-10 finish at Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but his day ended prematurely. Holding sixth place, Busch tried to overtake Denny Hamlin by moving low, but his #8 Chevrolet drifted upward, clipping Hamlin and catapulting Busch into the Turn 3 wall. His car spun out and slammed into the outside barrier.

While Hamlin's #11 Toyota came out unscathed, he was forced to pit as he was running low on fuel. Prior to this clash, Kyle Busch had fought his way up from starting 33rd on the grid.

The DNF lengthened his winless streak to 43 races and pushed him further from playoff contention. The incident marks Busch's sixth DNF in his last eight races, continuing a tough phase for the two-time Cup Series champion.

Meanwhile, on the second-last lap [166] Kyle Larson took the inside line for the restart, with Ryan Blaney on the outside. Larson quickly pulled ahead after exiting turn one, while Tyler Reddick managed to overtake Blaney.

Ryan Preece spun off turn 2, but the race continued under green. However, the caution was eventually waved when Preece stalled on the backstretch, although by that time, Kyle Larson had already crossed the finish line.

Denny Hamlin, with 706 points, holds a strong fourth place in the driver standings. With three wins under his belt this season, he’s eager to capture another victory to tie with the current leader, Kyle Larson, in total wins.
