“He’s in heaven”: Zane Smith’s wife McCall flaunts husband’s post-race ‘IYKYK’ stuff

Rookie NASCAR driver Zane Smith's fans know about his love for the well-recognized cartoon character Spongebob Squarepants. Recently, Smith's wife McCall shared an Instagram story of him stopping by a Spongebob Squarepants-themed restaurant.

In the Instagram story, the couple came across Krusty Krab, the restaurant that sells hamburgers and meals shown in the SpongeBob Squarepants series. Notably, Smith is a stickler fan of the series.

The series is based on a yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple-shaped home with his pet Gray the Snail in the city of Bikini Bottom. The protagonist of the story works as a chef in the Krusty Krab restaurant. During his off time, he looks for troublesome adventures with his best friend Patrick the Starfish.

McCall highlighted Smith's love for the show and recalled the memories of his last birthday. The Spire Motorsports team driver turned 25 a couple of months ago in June, and his wife threw him a surprise SpongeBob Squarepants-themed party.

She took him on a day trip to Bikini Bottom, and the cake was also matching with the theme. The main characters of the show were placed on top of the cake along with some miniature hamburgers with a funny caption, "What’s funnier than 24... 25?"

She added:

"He loves SpongeBob more than anyone I know - so I’m proud of myself for keeping this a secret from him because, it was the best surprise 😂🍍💛Thank you to all who came, and kept this secret! Lol Always so easy and fun celebrating my husband! I love you Zane, happy birthday!"

Last month, on September 2, 2024, Zane Smith and McCall celebrated their eighth anniversary. Smith popped the question to McCall on April 30, 2022, and two years later, on January 11, 2024, they tied the knot.

She shared an Instagram story appreciating her husband for the surprise he planned for the big day in their relationship. She wrote:

"Walked into the bus with surprise roses from Zane! still going to celebrate the day he asked me to be his girlfriend 8 years ago today."

McCall also shared an image of a bouquet of roses, and the couple celebrated their anniversary with a trackside barbeque dinner. Zane Smith himself barbequed their meal and also shared a post on his account with a caption:

"8 years together spent with the lady in black! ❤️"

In the post, the table featured a bouquet of roses and Smith's hand-cooked food. Smith clicked and captured his wife candidly while she was eating her dinner inside the bus.
