The NASCAR fanbase has aimed at Austin Dillon's post-race displeasure over Joey Logano. The Team Penske driver intentionally accelerated his Mustang's engine and did burnout right in front of the Richard Childress Racing driver's family and the celebrating #3 team.

Dillon snapped his two-year winless streak by emerging on top at the Richmond Raceway. Despite leading 35 laps before the final lap, the North Carolina native was on the verge of missing the victory, as, Logano overtook the former before the deciding lap began.

Nevertheless, the #3 Chevy driver retook the lead on the final turn by wrecking out the #22 Ford and then Denny Hamlin's #11 Toyota. On one hand, Dillon cherished his ticket to the playoff with his team celebrating in the pitlane, and Logano, on the other, stalled his Ford near the #3 crew and the RCR driver's family and throttled hard before finally stopping a few meters ahead.

Austin Dillon was "pissed" with Logano's post-race actions and slammed the Team Penske driver.

"The only thing that did piss me off about Joey was when he came through there, my wife and kid were headed across to get to cross [the pitlane] and he revved the engine up right in front of my kid and Johnny Morris [CEO of Bass Pro Shops] and those people," an excerpt of Dillon's conversation with Kevin Harvick read via Peter Stratta on X.
"So I mean, I get it. You got to be mad and upset, but do it like an interview or talk to me about it. You got to be careful on the pitroad with that type of stuff," he added.

However, the fans criticized Austin Dillon for risking safety to mark his Richmond win but when Logano made an unsafe move in the pitlane, the former was upset.

"He's one to be talking," one fan wrote.
"Oh so NOW you care about the safety of others? Fuck off," another fan commented.
"Oh now he’s a preacher on what’s right and wrong," the fan reacted.

Some fans, however, blamed Austin Dillon's family for being in the pitlane.

"Maybe your wife should’ve been careful bringing a baby on an active pit road," a fan wrote.
"Definitely not OK what Joey did. However, if you're not a pit crew member or NASCAR official, you have no business being on a hot pit road," one fan commented.

"Chickenshit, there's no doubt about it"- Joey Logano lambasted Austin Dillon for his final lap wreck at Richmond

Joey Logano started his run from ninth place on the grid and posted fourth-place finishes in both stages. Despite multiple cautions in the final stage and the resulting resetting of the pack, the Team Penske driver kept himself with the frontrunners.

After his final overtake against Austin Dillon, the #22 Ford driver took the white flag as leader and came inches close to sealing his second win. However, as he steered through the final corner and saw the checkered flag about to drop in his favor, the RCR driver wrecked him out and retook the lead.

Logano was enraged by the fateful incident and lashed at Dillon. He said (via PRN Live on X).

"Chickenshit, there's no doubt about it. He's 4 car lengths back. Then he wrecked the 11. And then he goes up there and thanks God with his baby. It's a bunch of BS .. It's ridiculous that that's the way we race. I get bump and run, I do that .. what a piece of crap."

Shortly after the race, Austin Dillon's radio call with spotter Brandon Benesch did rounds in the community as the spotter asked his driver to "wreck" the Team Penske driver. While Richard Childress denied such claims, the #3 Chevy driver said he wasn't focused on the spotter's call.
