“He has sure taken over my sleep schedule”: Tony Stewart’s wife Leah makes her feelings known in a mesmerizing ‘responsibilities’ IG update

Tony Stewart's wife, Leah Pruett, shared what she has been up to lately as a first-time mother. Pruett admitted losing sleep over taking care of their son while he got all of his 'responsibilities' down, including looking cute.

Stewart is a 53-year-old former NASCAR racer who won three championships in the Cup Series as a driver. He and his wife welcomed their first son Dominic James during the final race weekend at this year's NHRA Top Fuel category.

Per Instagram, Leah Pruett made her feelings known about looking after Dom, saying:

"Life lately. Even though I haven’t posted much, Dom has for sure taken over my sleep schedule, and camera roll. He’s now over a month old, and has got all of his responsibilities down. Eat, sleep, toot, and look cute ☺️"

Leah Pruett posted 14 photos in her life update, including moments with Tony Stewart as a father. The family is enjoying time together following the conclusion of the 2024 NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) season.

The season witnessed Stewart taking over his wife's Top Fuel seat as she dealt with pregnancy. He ended the year with the Rookie of the Year award and finished ninth in the overall standings.

His duties in NASCAR were also over. The Stewart-Haas Racing was discontinued after the 2024 season and was rebranded as the Haas Factory Team. It marked the end of close to a three-decade run for Stewart in the stock car racing league.

The rebranded team only retained one of the four charters.

For 2025, Tony Stewart will be back in the Top Fuel category racing his 11,000-horsepower Dodge dragster.

Tony Stewart shares his thoughts on becoming a parent with Leah Pruett

Like Leah Pruett, Tony Stewart also had realizations as a first-time parent. For him, seeing his son Dominic James for the first time was one of the coolest days of his life despite a hectic schedule during the NHRA finals at Pomona Dragstrip. Speaking with veteran NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass, Stewart said:

"Everything that happened overnight, it's one of the coolest days of my life, obviously." [1:02]

The 49-time Cup race winner also commended his wife for the job well done as a mother to their children.

"My wife is unbelievable. She's a way tougher woman than I will ever be as a man. To do what she did and to make the decision a year ago to step out of the car and take herself away from what she loves so much to start a family and to go through this journey that's taken a whole year and to see it come to fruition today and to see her go through this process, super proud of her as my wife, my partner, and as a woman in general," Stewart added.

While Stewart is bound to compete again in 2025, Pruett is not expected to grace the racetrack anytime soon. However, she considered getting back into the car in 2026.
