Kevin Harvick and the co-host of the 'Harvick's Happy Hour' podcast recently came together to revisit a viral moment from the 2024 NASCAR season.
Together with hosts Mamba Smith and Kaitlyn Vincie, the former Cup Series champion Harvick picked the most 'viral moment' of the year in a first-of-its-kind award show on the NASCAR on Fox podcast. The nominations included Tyler Reddick celebrating at victory lane with 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan, Hendrick Motorsports' 40th-anniversary win, Jeff Burton watching his son, Harrison Burton, clinch his maiden win from the booth, and Kyle Busch-Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s All-star race scuffle.
While all the above-mentioned 2024 NASCAR moments caught everyone's attention, the post-race altercation between the two Cup Series drivers took the spot as the 'Best viral moment'.
Revisiting the infamous fight, Harvick said:
"That moment, it's just one of those moments that was not like any other moment because of the fact that Ricky was locked into the race track and was all waiting behind the hauler in swim trunks." [13:29]
Stenhouse Jr. was forced to retire early at the All-Star race at North Wilkesboro after Busch, in retaliation for a first-lap incident, pushed the #47 Chevy driver, who damaged his car after colliding with the outer barrier. As a result, Stenhouse Jr. waited the whole race for a confrontation turned brawl with #8 Chevy driver Busch.
Moreover, the co-host Vincie addressed renowned journalist Bob Pockrass's iconic meme that was birthed during the altercation between Richard Childress Racing driver Busch and Stenhouse Jr.
"Kyle Busch gets thrown back into me": Bob Pockrass recounts him becoming a victim of a meme during the Busch-Stenhouse Jr. fight
Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass once joined Harvick's Happy Hour podcast and spoke about his hilarious face that was caught on camera while covering the fight between Kyle Busch and JTG Daugherty Racing driver Stenhouse Jr.
Pockrass recalled how the two-time Cup Series champion Busch was thrown into him and elaborated on how the camera captured his meme face at North Wilkesboro Speedway. He said:
"Fox got me this little camera and it's on a swivel because like you can hit a button so that it comes to selfie mode. And Kyle Busch gets thrown back into me and it spins into me and catches my face. I guess at the perfect moment... I didn't have a time to even look at it. So I just sent them what I had. So I had no clue what was on there until my face was screenshot and a meme had been made." [0:57]
Notably, the NASCAR community on X (formally Twitter) found this quite amusing and made hilarious memes of the same.
