Hendrick Motorsports posted a story promoting Angie Skinner and Alba Colon's discussion over having a "thick skin" in the motorsport world. The latter explained that one has to compromise while working in any form of motorsport.

Angie Skinner, who has been associated with NASCAR for the past two decades, shared an interesting outtake from her experience in the racing industry. She has been a part of the NASCAR media coverage, where she also negotiated radio contracts earlier. Bringing the sport to CBS Radio was a major step in her career, and that also led her to meet her husband, Mike Skinner.

Currently working as the co-host of the Skinner Round-Up podcast on SiriusXM, she claimed that having a "thick skin" is a crucial aspect of working in this industry. She explained that they would not like each other.

"If you're gonna work in the motorsports space," Skinner said, "I don't care if it's NASCAR, if it's rally car, if it's Formula One, whatever. You have to have a thick skin and you have to understand that not everyone is going to like you. It's okay. But you still have to try to compromise and work with others."

Hendrick Motorsports' Director of Technical Partnerships, Alba Colon, was the guest on the episode of the podcast. She resonated with Skinner's words saying:

"You know, it's not always your way. It's not always your way. Listen, you have to compromise."

Hendrick Motorsports promoted this episode on their Instagram story as well.

Hendrick Motorsports reveals Chase Elliott's 2025 livery

The #9 Chevrolet under the HMS tag will witness a new paint job heading into the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series. Highlighting one of the 2020 champion's primary sponsors, UniFirst, with a turquoise-gray livery. The company has a $3.7 billion market cap, according to Forbes.

Chase Elliott will drive with this livery on his car for five races in the season, beginning with Homestead-Miami in March. Discussing their partnership with the driver, David Katz, the executive VP of Sales and Marketing at UniFirst, said:

"This bold design aligns perfectly with our brand evolution and captures our energy and momentum. Collaborating with Hendrick Motorsports has been an exciting opportunity to create something that not only represents UniFirst but also resonates with NASCAR fans."

The 2025 season will mark Elliott's tenth consecutive season in the Cup Series. He has been chasing his second championship since he won his first in 2020. He witnessed one race win this season, which was enough to put him in contention for the title; however, it was not enough to keep him till the final race at Phoenix, the Championship Race. He finished the season with a seventh position in points.
