NASCAR driver William Byron's team Hendrick Motorsports recently revealed a new livery for their #24 Chevrolet ahead of the upcoming Cup Series campaign. HMS partnered with IT giant Hewlett-Packard, which is worth $34 billion (as per Forbes), commonly known as HP to sponsor their #24 Chevy for two races in 2025.

The new Z by HP paint scheme for Byron's #24 Chevy follows a black-to-white gradient, from the front to the back, with a similar gradeint of blue following the same pattern. The number on the roof and the sides of the car is painted black while the sponsor branding on the hood is white.

Hendrick Motorsports recently released images of the new livery on X (formerly Twitter), captioning it:

"@ZbyHP is back in the chat! Check out the full 360-view of the No. 24 Chevy."

This livery will be featured in the March 9 Shriners Children 500 at Phoenix Raceway, and the Enjoy Illinois 300 playoff race at World Wide Technology Raceway in September.

Byron was the only Hendrick Motorsports driver to make it to the 2024 Championship Race. His teammates, former Cup Series champions Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliott, along with Alex Bowman were all part of the playoffs, however, only William Byron's #24 Chevy made it to the final four.

William Byron had a near-successful 2024 Cup Series campaign. Despite the OEM controversy, the #24 driver had a clean run with three race wins under his belt. Moreover, in 36 race starts, Byron secured 21 top-ten and 13 top-five finishes and eventually secured an overall P3.

"I felt like it was so long" - William Byron on waiting for the Championship 4 decision

William Byron got tangled in a controversy in the penultimate Cup Series playoff race at Martinsville Speedway. NASCAR has three major brands (OEMs) that provide stock cars to the sport. Of these three, Chevrolet was involved in allegedly trying to manipulate the race results of the Xfinity 500 to provide William Byron an edge over his competitors.

This put Byron's Cup title dream in jeopardy as NASCAR reviewed the whole situation before officially announcing the #24 as a championship car. In November, the #24 driver reflected on the Martinsville controversy. (via Newsweek)

"I was honestly just preparing for not being in, then thinking about how I felt. Like we did all we could do. It is what it is at this point. It was a lot of waiting. I felt like the longer I waited in some ways that it wasn't going to work out. But yeah, it did." Byron said

Meanwhile, Chevrolet drivers Ross Chastain and Austin Dillon were sanctioned heavy penalties by NASCAR for trying to manipulate the race results at Martinsville Speedway by boxing in Brad Keselowski, the fastest car of the race, and reportedly slowing down for William Byron.

The Cup Series will return for the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. Catch the race live on February 2nd, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
