HMS star William Byron drops 5-word message on “horrible” New York Jets

William Byron of Hendrick Motosports took to X to express his displeasure over the recent performances of the New York Jets in the National Football League.

Byron, who drives the #24 car for Hendrick Motorsports, is known for his strategic racing and is one of the sport's rising stars. Byron won his first Cup Series in 2018 and has since, garnered multiple victories, demonstrating consistent performances as seen by his 2024 season where he accumulated 21 top 10 finishes and made it to the round of four.

Meanwhile, New York Jets is a professional football team that competes in the National Football League. They have won the Super Bowl title once, in 1988.

On January 6, 2025, during the game between New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, Byron took to X (formerly Twitter) to call the team "horrible". He held no punches back regarding the performances of the New York Jets.

His 5 word message read:

"The Jets are horrible omg"

The Jets are having quite an underwhelming season with 4 wins and 12 losses with a two wins to five losses ratio at home and a two to seven losses ratio away from home. NASCAR is currently in the off season so Byron has the off time to indulge in other sports.

A Jets fan replied to his tweet, writing:

"As a Jets fan, its a pain"

Another replied with a picture:

"Sums up the Jets season...banner is upside down!"

Another fan termed the Miami Dolphins team as "horrible" as well:

"And they are playing a horrible team."

Byron will be competeting for Hendrick Motorsports in the upcoming season and will be hoping to improve upon his third place finish last year.
