Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron is traveling across Japan and has been sharing pictures from the land of the rising sun. With the off-season underway, the HMS driver took a trip to the other side of the world. He shared pictures of himself trying his hand at a Japanese tea ceremony.

Byron uploaded a picture on his Instagram stories on December 21, where he could be seen sitting next to traditional Japanese tea-making utensils and equipment. The HMS driver was dressed in a traditional Japanese outfit and wore a red and black kimono. Byron used the equipment and took part in the traditional tea ceremony. However, judging by the caption of the post, Byron didn't do particularly well. The caption read:

The Japanese tea-making ceremony includes seating the guests and then using the equipment to make traditional Japanese tea. It is believed that the ceremony helps an individual gain inner peace and aids in their well-being.

William Byron's latest destination in Japan was the city of Kyoto. It was once the capital of Japan and is famous for its natural landscape, temples, and gardens. As Byron reached Kyoto, he posted a picture of the mountainous landscape with the caption:

“Beautiful couple days in Kyoto. Almost home.”

He then uploaded a picture of a temple in the middle of a scenic terrain and also paid a visit to the Nishiki Market. The Nishiki Market is over 400 years old, spreads across five blocks, and has over a hundred shops. The market is famous for its restaurants and local food.

While Byron travels across the world, Hendrick Motorsports has released the liveries for the American’s #24 Chevrolet.

2025 HMS Livery Sponsored by Valvoline for #24 Chevrolet of William Byron

HMS revealed William Byron's Z by HP-sponsored livery in the first week of December. The very next week Hendrick Motorsports unveiled the Valvoline Livery for the #24 car. HMS’ partnership with Valvoline was extended earlier this June. The partnership was extended until the end of the 2029 season.

The new livery features a light blue base instead of the grey from 2024. The #24 is in bold white on the doors. Valvoline’s iconic red and navy colors are highlighted throughout the car in combination to various degrees. The roof is in navy blue with #24 again in bold white colors. The front of the car features a huge Valvoline logo that takes up the whole space on the hood.

A few days ago, Hendrick Motorsports also unveiled the Liberty University livery for William Byron. The livery remained unchanged with the same white, navy, and red color scheme.
