Chase Briscoe's future has become clearer than ever because of a mistake by Christopher Bell. During a media interaction on Friday, Bell accidentally mentioned Briscoe's first name in an answer, as a result of which many NASCAR insiders are convinced of where he would be racing next season.

Bell was asked a question regarding drivers being leaders at Joe Gibbs Racing. In his response, he mentioned, "When Chase comes...", after which he realized what he had done. However, there was no turning back.

This more or less confirmed Briscoe's next destination amid SHR closing their shop at the end of the season. Recently, Briscoe commented on Bell's slipup and confirmed that all that's left now is an official announcement.

"I feel like everybody kinda knows what's going on, so, I think the official announcement whenever that is, hopefully we can have something official soon. I wasn’t mad at him, it was kinda funny, I thought," Briscoe said as per Alan Cavanna.

The #14 driver also didn't miss the opportunity to make a funny remark. Speaking about Bell's mistake, Briscoe claimed "it changed a lot of things" in the silly season, considering Bell named "Chase" in his response.

"I need to call probably Rick (Hendrick) now that the #9 has opened up and changed a lot of things. It's a domino nobody really saw coming so, I just kind of laughed at it. I thought it was pretty good. Typical Christopher, so yeah, it was pretty funny," Briscoe mentioned.

Chase Briscoe reveals main factors involved in selecting his next team in NASCAR

Speaking to Bob Pockrass a few days ago, Chase Briscoe opened up on his priorities in selecting his next team. Briscoe pointed to the performance aspect being "a major factor" as well as the future.

Another aspect for Chase Briscoe, which was worth prioritizing was whether his new team could provide for his family.

"Twins are on the way. I'm going to have three kids just like that ... I've talked to my wife about it a couple of times. Even though I don't have three kids now, I don't know how much I'm going to be able to race, anyway. Kyle Larson makes it work, but I don't know how he does it. With one kid I already feel like it's hard enough, and I just don't know how I can be a great father being gone all the time," he added.

With that said, and considering Chase Briscoe's recent comments at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, it appears that the team which is going to deliver on all the aspects he prioritizes is Joe Gibbs Racing.

Bell's slipup on Friday and Briscoe claiming he's awaiting something official all but confirm his move to the #19 car in 2025.
