Lizzy Musi, the 33-year-old drag racer who starred in Discovery's "Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings", passed away Thursday at her home in Mooresville, North Carolina, surrounded by her family. Musi was diagnosed with stage 4, triple-negative breast cancer last year.

As stated by the American Cancer Society, triple-negative breast cancer, commonly known as TNBC is a form of cancer that spreads faster throughout the body than other forms of cancer, and therefore is harder to treat. About 10-15% of breast cancers in America are TNBC, affecting mostly women who are below 40.

Musi's father, Pat Musi took to Facebook to announce the unfortunate news. The eight-time PDRA Pro Street World Champion wrote:

"Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 pm tonight . Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief and make arrangements in peace. we will give an update as soon as we have information to share."

Street Outlaws also issued a statement on Musi's death, stating:

"We’re deeply saddened to share the news of Lizzy Musi’s passing. She was a treasured member of the racing world and our Street Outlaws community. We extend our condolences to her family and all those who loved her."

The upward slope in Musi's career began in 2014, when she became the first woman drag racer to bag a win at the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) US Drags at Virginia Motorsports Park. In 2019, she won three back-to-back races in the "Street Outlaws- No Prep Kings". Musi also appeared in several other Street Outlaws programs like 'Locals Only', 'Gone Girl', and 'Fastest in America'.

The relationship between Lizzy Musi and Jeffrey Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s nephew

Lizzy Musi and Jeffrey Earnhardt started dating late in 2023, months after Musi was diagnosed with cancer. Jeffrey Earnhardt is the grandson of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and the nephew of NASCAR Hall of Famer, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Lizzy Musi was always grateful to her boyfriend for his never-ending support as she battled cancer. Reflecting on the same, Musi shared in a post on Instagram,

"This guy right here has supported me like no other from sleepless ER nights and dealing with my health to cheering me on at my races. This past weekend I got to watch him do his thing after a long off season and he just straight killed it ❤️"

Jeffrey Earnhardt has been with Musi through thick and thin. Thanking the NASCAR driver for his relentless support, Musi wrote in a Facebook post:

"Hair no hair...sick or not he has seen me at my worst... Getting numerous calls to tell how beautiful and strong I am, talking on FaceTime with my wig off and still compliments me... I am so so thankful for you and it needs to be said Jeffrey Earnhardt ❤️."

However, there has been no official update from Jeffrey Earnhardt following the unfortunate demise of Lizzy Musi. Musi is grieved by her father and sister, Tricia.
