Jeff Gordon, one of the most famous personalities in the NASCAR community, has been married twice. The vice chairman of Hendrick Motorsports is currently married to Ingrid Vandebosch and was together with Brooke Sealey for almost eight years.
The NASCAR Hall of Famer made a name for himself quite early on in his professional stock-car career and was awarded the Rookie of the Year in 1993. It only took him two more years to clinch his first coveted Cup Series trophy, followed by three more titles in the next six years.
Early on in his racing career, NASCAR's then-rising star reportedly met his first wife, Brooke Sealey, in a NASCAR event. Sealey was the Miss Winston model, who often greeted drivers post-race in the victory lane. However, they didn't go public with their relationship until Gordon proposed to Sealey at the 1994 Daytona 500 event after she ended her collaboration with NASCAR as a model. They stayed together for almost eight years before splitting up in 2002.
Gordon then married Ingrid Vandebosch, a Belgian model, in 2006 after meeting her for the first time in 2002 at The Hamptons. They dated for a couple of years and tied the knot in 2006 in a private ceremony in Mexico.
The California native's now-wife had a successful career in the entertainment industry. Vandebosch started modeling at an early age and modeled for Christian Dior's perfume in Paris when she was 17. She featured in magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, and Glamour. Vandebosch won the 1990 Elite Look of the Year award.
"The only fireworks that was going on was between me and you" - Jeff Gordon once spoke about the first time he met Ingrid Vandebosch
Jeff Gordon was first introduced to Ingrid Vandebosch by a mutual friend at a dinner party in The Hamptons near New York City in 2002. Vandebosch had transitioned from modeling to acting at the time and starred in movies like The Insider, Going Greek, and Taxi.
In a conversation with his wife, the former NASCAR driver spoke about meeting Ingrid for the first time. He said:
"Oh yes, yes I noticed you... Yeah, I was playing cool. I had to, you know, put that game face on. I was like, who's that? Is she coming with us? And as soon as I heard you talk about coming out to the Hamptons, I was like, oh this changed my whole Hamptons trip." [0:47]
While Vandebosch reconfirmed with Gordon that the exact date they met was the 4th of July, the 53-year-old responded:
"The only fireworks that was going on was between me and you."
The 93-time Cup Series race winner and Vandebosch are now a family of four. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Ella Sofia Gordon, in June 2007, and announced the birth of their son, Leo Benjamin Gordon, in August 2010.
