Danica Patrick has touched upon her experience of fasting. As a fitness enthusiast, Patrick leaves no stone unturned to live the healthiest life possible. However, fasting did not turn out to be a wise choice for the former NASCAR driver.

From mediation, yoga, hot and cold baths to the gym, Patrick indulges herself in a number of activities to stay fit and on top of her game. At 42-years-old, she is one of the fittest women linked with motorsport.

The former IndyCar star regularly posts fitness-related content and advocates a healthy lifestyle from her official Instagram account.

She also appears on podcasts to share her life lessons about how she dedicated her life to staying fit throughout her career. Recently, she sat with Kaylor Betts to speak about her diet, and how fasting did not sit well with her.

Here's what she said on the Top 1% podcast with Betts:

"Even hunger is a stress, so like fasting is not my jam. It just doesn't agree with me. I was going to say I don't cold plunge if I'm doing a lot it's cause it's another stress."

Since she does not advocate fasting, Patrick's focus always remains at eating "good food." She looks at food as medicine, and speaking about this, she told the Fitness Reaper in 2022:

"Eat good food because food is medicine. You're either adding to your well-being or reducing your well-being."

Danica Patrick rose to fame when she won the 2005 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year. She also won the 2005 IndyCar Series season Rookie of the Year and finally the most popular IndyCar driver from 2005 to 2010.

Danica Patrick recently opened up about why she believes women's sports should be left alone and should not be gender-neutral. While Patrick herself competed in a male-dominated motorsport, she thinks it should not be the other way around.

Emphasizing the importance of keeping women's sports as is, she said in a conversation with Codie Sanchez:

"I was a girl in a guy's sport. There are some true hormonal physiological reasons why men should not compete in women's sports. When it comes to strength, when it comes to power, size, those things are really different. Men have at least 10 times the testosterone that women do, which is something that helps build lean muscle mass and gives you size and mass and power, it's totally unfair."

Throughout her illustrious NASCAR career, Patrick participated in 191 Cup Series races in seven years, and 61 Xfinity Series races in five years. Her IndyCar statistics include 116 races and one win in eight years and it stands out as the only win by a female driver in IndyCar's history.
